Constantine pondered as he slowly drifts away from existence unto a world of unknown origin. A world where the improbable turns probable, where impossible is truly possible. A world not bound by physics, not bound by rules, a world where every single thought are laid out in perfect detail. He was unlike any others, yet he does not consider himself as special, for this particular gift also served as a nightmare for him.
No one believed him of the monsters that hid under his bed, the eyes that pierced his soul from the closet not letting him get any sleep. While they were only a figment of his imagination, at the time he believed that those creatures existed, or at least they now exists because of him.
He started to glide across the never ending mist of nothingness, leaving behind a trail of his imagination as it started to spread, creating the very thing he imagined a world of his own to be. Piece by piece, his artwork developed into a vast land full of bizarre creatures and plant life. Trees started to grow, grass started to fill the land and creatures started to form in their respective choice of habitats.
One creature in particular, stood out from the rest, it stood tall and prideful in the middle of it all. A deer-like creature and a giant one at that, it's antlers were filled with glowing blue fungus that served as a home for small humaniod insects, it's body surrounded by sparkling ball of light also serving as a home for a handful of tiny creatures, it was a living and breathing habitat for majestic creatures.
The creature seemed to be guarding a golden tree, it was twisted and emitted a bright aura visible by all that provided a beaming source of light throughout the land. Constantine basked in the light and the delightful feeling of watching a world unfold around him, a world of his own.
Constantine landed to the plains and started to interact with the creatures around him, he played with them and raced them to the hills, woodlands, marshes, and lastly towards the peak of a mountain, they watched as the beacon of azure light beamed upwards to the ends till they couldn't see it no more. If only, this was the real world he muttered, if only it was this perfect, if only it was this peaceful, if only...
Tears started to fill his eyes and as it hit the ground, it immediately grew to a flower and wilting afterwards, leaving nothing but a pile of ash. Constantine looked at the creatures he now sat with and hugged them. He was at peace yet he was tired, dozing off once again.
