When I look into the mirror
My view is split in two
Neither one nor the other
Just the grey area in between
When I look into the mirror
I'm stuck between two worlds
One of fear and heartaches
One of fire and earthquakes
When I look into the mirror
I have a foot on each side
Each side pushing and pulling
Until I am torn apart
When I look into the mirror
I'm stuck between two worlds
One of new friends and change
One of family and it stays the same
When I look into the mirror
I see two different people
They're both begging for me to leave
"Leave" says my mother
Fire licking her burning hair
"Leave" says the soldier
With a gun to my head
When I look into the mirror
I see a girl stuck between two worlds
They're miles apart
Yet are one within her
When I look into the mirror
I smile and look into the eyes
Of fire and of darkness
Of life and of light
When I look into the mirror
I know I'm not alone
I have my brothers and sisters
Within my heart and soul
