"Do you think she's ok?" I ask. After this whole thing I've been worrying a little more than usual.

"Dude you watched her walk home. You made sure she walked into the house. She's fine." Lauren says.

"I know but-"

"We know! She got taken from her house and your scared. You told us already." Lauren interrupts. Damn this girl is full of sass. I grab my phone and then get up and walk down to my music area. When I get down there I go to the computer and put I Miss You by Blink-182 on repeat. I walked over to my drum kit and sat on the stool, staring at it. I didn't move for a solid 5 minutes. My phone started ringing and I jolted my head up. I walked over to my phone and saw that Sammy was calling.

"Hello?" I quickly answered.

"Hey Ash. I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving for that park to go play volleyball, did you want to come?" Sammy says through the phone.

"Sure." I say while shutting off the music and running upstairs.

"Alright. I figured you could come and try to get your mind off of everything." She says.

"I don't know if it'll work. No matter what I do it's on my mind." I say as I walk through the front door and look towards Sammy's house. She's not facing me, so she doesn't know I've even left.

"Anything is worth a shot right?" She asks.

"Yeah." I whisper into her ear since I'm behind her now. She gasps and turns around with her eyes wide.

"Ashton you scared the shit out of me." She says, punching my arm. Not going to lie, she hits hard for a girl.

"I'm sorry." I say, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"It's ok." She says, wrapping her arms around the back of my neck. We hug for a few seconds before pulling back and looking at each other. "Ready to go?" She asks. I nod and take her hand in my. "You know you didn't have to come."

"Yeah, but I wanted to. I like watching you play. Your smile is so big when you slam the ball down, and when you mess up you don't get down on yourself. You shake it off, apologize to your team mates and then encourage them that you can get it back. You fight hard, and you play like you're the only person in the world. You get lost in it. I love seeing that desire and passion in your eyes." I explain.

"Like when you play the drums. You have that same look in your eyes. It's really amazing." She says. I smile at the ground and swing our arms back and forth.

We walk in silence most of the way there which doesn't bother me. Just the fact that she's next to me is enough to make me happy. We walk into the park and start following the trail until we can see the volleyball courts.

"I'm so excited." Sammy gushes as we get closer to the courts.

"I don't think they're here yet." I say. She shrugs her shoulders.

"That's ok." She says. We reach the courts and sit down on the ground. We talk for a few minutes before everyone arrives.

"Hey, you came." The girl with dark hair says. I think this is the Rachael girl, but I'm not too sure.

"Of course." Sammy says while standing up. "So are we ready to play or what?"

"Yeah." Everyone says.

They split into two teams and take their sides of the court. Sammy serves first for her team, but the other team spikes it down after the receive and scores a point. The other side serves and Sammy receives the ball hitting it to the front. One of the guys sets it up and the Rachael girl spikes it down.
