I couldn't wait to hang out with Marinette after school!

She's so shy and always keeps to herself.

Hopefully, I can change the that.

She was kidnapped when she was four so she most likely isn't use to socializing.

The final bell of the day rang.

I walked over to Marinette who was struggling with her books. "Need some help?" I asked and she flinched before nodding slightly.

I took half the books off her, lightening the load somewhat.

We walked to her locker where she placed them and grabbed her bag, locking it once she was finished.

We walked outside to the park across the street, then proceeded to sit on a bench in silence.

"Are you hungry? I can get us something to eat."

"S-Sure..." she stuttered.

I bought the two of us ice cream and together, we walked to the Eiffel Tower.

Upon arrival, we sat on a bench in silence yet again.

"Are you okay?" I asked in an attempt to break the silence.

She looked at me surprised.

"S-Sorry. Wrong time," I said sheepishly.

"Uh! No no! It's okay. I uh... it's just...hard," she sighed, "I've never really had a friend before so this is all new to me."

Droplets of water started falling down on us, her words hitting me like a truck. Like me, she's never had a friend or someone who's cared about her. Perhaps...I can be that someone.

She looked to the clouded over sky, the rain hitting her delicate face.

I saw her smile; a small, tiny, genuine smile.

She looked stunning.

I blushed, smiling myself.

"We-We should get out of th-"

"I love the rain," she said cutting me off.

She didn't turn her head to look at me, but I turned to her with bewildered eyes.

"The smell, the sound, how the water feels when it hits your skin. I just...love it."

I looked at her, really looked at her. The way her hair sculptured her face perfectly, the smile on her lips, how she looked up at the sky, her grey eyes showing the smallest glimmer of joy.

"Wh-When you were kidnapped...did he let you outside?"

"Yeah. He treated me like his own daughter, but he didn't let my outside half of the times I requested." She chuckled a little. "I never wanted to pushed him so I would never protest when he said no."

I pursued my lips.

She's been through so much compared to me.

I looked at the floor. "I'm sorry you had to go through that."

She looked at me with wide eyes.

"N-No. It's not your fault!" She faked a smile. It was hard to see through it, but I could.

I looked her in the eyes. They held a terrible kind of misery.

I wanted to give her my heart.

"W-We should get out of the rain."

She nodded.

I held my bag over her head so she wouldn't get any wetter than she already was.

We walked in the rain until we found a coffee shop.

We entered and sat in the far corner of the shop.

I ordered us both some hot chocolate so we could warm up and avoid getting sick.
