You'd been pretty lucky the past few months. Moved to a nice town, found a few new friends and finally gotten the job you'd been applying for.

You had gotten a job in a video/audio editing company. It was responsible for the making of music videos especially. Since you were new to the job, you shared a small office with a nice coworker who helped you out with a lot of stuff, especially concerning editing.

Concerning the musicians that would come and request their music videos to be edited, you didn't bother too much. Sure, you'd heard about many of them here and there but it never made you too nervous or anything. Most of the time, you didn't even get to see them.

However, you quickly managed to climb the career ladder and get yourself a better and more respected spot. The management spotted your talent and ability to learn quickly. You had used several occasions to throw in a suggestion casually, or help with a problem, and apparently, it had worked out well for you.

Now, you had your own office (even with a coffee machine).

You were appreciated for your politeness and patience, especially with rather... difficult customers or celebrities. You'd always manage to calm them down and talk to them. You got along pretty well with everyone.

Until one fateful day.

You were just about to walk down the hallway towards the kitchen, as you heard someone calling your name.

"Hey, (y/n)! Do you have a moment?"

You turned around. It was your boss, casually jogging towards you with a smile.

"Sure, what is it?", you asked.

"There will be new customers coming here today, and I wanted to ask whether you could take care of them. It's three young men; a band, to be precise."

"I see. Tell me more."

"First of all, we're really proud to have them here, since they're a little special. You see, they're from Norway originally but had lots of success starting in the UK..."

You listened to him and gave an occasional nod to make him see you were following. You were thankful that he'd always explain to you who you'd be dealing with and telling you a little bit about those people, since you weren't that much into following up on music charts or trends or celebrities. You mostly liked music for the sound of it rather than the people behind it.

"Alright, so", he continued, "You probably heard a few of their songs before on the radio so you may recognize them. They're called "a-ha"."

"Oh, I've heard of them here and there, yes. But I don't even know what they look like, so it pretty much isn't more than that", you said and chuckled.

"And that's absolutely okay! You'll do a great job, I know it. They'll be here around 3pm."

You took a quick look at your watch. It was 9:30am.

"Got it. Please call me when they've arrived."

"Sure will. And thank you!"

"No problem. That's my job", you said and gave him a small casual salute.

He laughed and disappeared into one of the offices. You continued your way to the kitchen.

A few minutes before 3pm, the phone on your desk rang. You put your papers aside to pick it up.

"Yes?"

"Hey there, it's your boss. I just wanted to let you know that the boys of a-ha just arrived, they'll be on our floor in a few minutes. I hope you've got the seminar room ready?"

You've reached the end of published parts.
