Peter and his sisters finished dressing and now where waiting to hear exactly what the plan was to save Edmund. Alva was in a tent with Aslan which Peter could only assume to be them planning. They sat for several hours waiting and playing with fellow camp members. Lucy made friends fast along with Susan as usual while Peter remained reserved and quiet from the rest. He watched the tent closely as he waited. Alva walked out with Aslan not far behind her. She walked over and patted her dragons neck lifting a saddle onto his back. She began placing a bit in her dragons mouth when a horn echoed outwards. Alva and Peter looked up and then to each other. Quickly she had a bow and her arrows on her body in second running to the river. Peter followed her but was further behind than he expected. The female was fast and gained ground within moments. She drew her arrow and stopped aiming for a growling wolf. She released and the arrow met his leg causing the wolf to cry out. Peter ran forwards slicing a wolf as Alva shot two more arrows into other wolves who ran forwards for them. Peter held his sword out to Maugrim as the wolf called out many insults. Alva held her bow aiming straight at Maugrim threatening to kill him if the other wolves came close. Maugrim growled and leaped forwards to Peter. Alva swung around and released an arrow hitting the other wolf that lunged out as well. Maugrim and Peter fell but only one moved. Peter forced the wolf off him and gasped outwards. The wolves took off to the castle and Alva called out for the others who followed to track them and save Edmund. She ran forward and lifted Peter to his feet. He panted as she checked him over for any wounds.
"Peter are you alright?!" Lucy cried as she fell from the tree and ran over. He nodded and watched as she hugged him. Alva looked up at the sky then to the dead wolves. Sighing she gestured for them to follow. Now she needed to report what happened and the group that ran after the wolves.
Peter was checked over by the healer whose name was Snowbird. She was the twin sister of Alva and Peter could see how. Though she was much sweeter and childish she was very kind. He walked out with nothing broken or bruised just his adrenaline in tack and his head rushing. Alva was sitting with Lucy as she spoke gently to her. Alva smiled and nodded as she spoke to her. Alva noticed Peter as he walked closer to them with a small smile to the male. She nodded to the hillside not far. Peter looked over to see Edmund with the large lion. They where speaking calmly but there was evident tension. As Peter stepped forwards Alva stopped him with her hand on his shoulder.
"Aslan is speaking to him. Don't go yet." Peter looked to Alva as she gripped his shoulder gently. Sighing he stepped away to see his sisters as they sat alone. Alva nodded to Aslan as he glanced back to them. He looked back to Edmund then walked to the small group. Edmund was drawn into hugs by all of his siblings as Aslan pulled Alva to the side. Peter watched Alva closely as she listened intently to Aslan.
"The witch requested my prescience. " Aslan said smoothly as he looked around the camp. Alva nodded gently and crossed her arms gently. Aslan watched the changes of each movement of the camp members
"And you are expecting to go?" Alva asked as she watched the siblings then the others. Aslan sighed and blinked gently.
"Yes. I suspect she has something great to say. Something I should listen to. Whether it be helpful and whether it be critical to us. I am still going to listen." Alva looked to Aslan before she looked to her dragon who was now helping carry supplies around the camp. She had a sense of uneasiness that made her tense up.
"Who will you be taking?" She asked as the wind blew through her clothing and hair. The bones tied to her head rattled gently as they moved around. Aslan stepped back.
"I will be going alone." this caught Alva's attention quickly and she snapped her head to him. Her body tensed more as she shifted on her feet. Peter noticed the change in the atmosphere and gently pushed his brother aside. He watched Alva as she looked back to the camp.
"Going into see the witch with her army and no help. Not going to work Aslan." The lion looked to his friend and she looked back. A sense of authority fell over Aslan making Alva step back slightly. He looked her up and down before questioning her.
"Are you questioning my authority Alva. You know as well as I that you don't own such freedom to do so." Aslan stared down at the Viking but she never faltered. Finally after releasing his gaze she sighed and looked down. Her body relaxed but not fully even as Aslan reassured her with a gentle nudge of his snout.
"If you wish to meet with her, Then do so. I will keep watch over the camp." Alva said as she looked to him. Aslan nodded and turned away his head craning to speak with her.
"If I do not return then take the siblings and hide them. Do not allow the witch access. Even if it means your life" Alva watched her friend leave as she stood tall. When Aslan left she sighed and looked away. No point in fighting with Aslan when she owed him greatly. Sighing Alva walked away and passed the siblings not acknowledging the sweet smile from Lucy during her fast paced walk. Peter watched Alva sighing as well feeling as if he could help her in some way. But how?
