The Dragon and the Princess

Chapter 8*

When Lucy got out of the bath, the single white rose was gone, and in its place was a bouquet of white roses with a note saying 'I'll be at the guild, see you soon. Natsu' He was really going all out, isn't he? Lucy got dressed, brushed her hair, and started walking to the guild.

"Don't fall in, Lucy!" yelled the nice fishermen.

Lucy didn't hear them though, because she was too deep in her own thoughts. When she got to the guild, she didn't see Natsu right away, but she did see a lot of guys crowded around a table. She walked to the table to see Natsu, Gajeel, Jellal, and Gray looking very exasperated. She walked over to the other table that had Levy, Juvia, Erza, and Wendy sitting at it.

"Guys, what did I miss?" Lucy asked.

"The guys are having a lesson on how to treat a woman, and Mira is teaching it. It's mainly for Natsu and Gray, since Gajeel isn't enough of an idiot to hurt Levy and Jellal is already a gentleman. She's making all the boys in the guild participate. They are taking notes and there's a test afterward! It's been going on for an hour, and they are only halfway through. It's really fun to watch." Wendy said in between laughs.

The girls talked until Mira came over and said "Up, we are having a dance lesson." Then she yelled "Everyone get with their dates! If you don't have a date yet, stand in the middle!"

Juvia ran over to Gray, Lucy started looking for Natsu, Levy stood on a chair so she could see the heads of everyone, and Jellal walked reluctantly over to Erza. Lucy felt really bad for him, because he had to dance with Erza. Hopefully, Mira would teach the girls how to dance too. Once everyone had found their dates,  Mira started calling out names.

"Romeo and Wendy. Lisanna and Bickslow. Evergreen and Elfman. Cana and Gildarts. Freed and Laki. Wacaba and Macao. Jet and Droy. Azuka and the Master. Laxus will be with me. Please get with the people that I called your names with. These do not have to be the people you go to the dance with; just so everyone can learn how to dance."

Juvia started to jump up and down because of the 'Romeo and Wendy' pairing. Everyone started talking.

"OKAY," Mira yelled over the talking. "EVERYONE OUTSIDE!"

They all made their way outside and the pairs spread out. As Mira was explaining how the boys stand, everyone was paying attention. Gray and Laxus got it alright, but the rest of the boys needed help. Jellal would have been able to do it, but he was too flustered to do anything properly. The girls gently moved their partners hands to the right position. As Lucy was moving Natsu's hands, there was a tingly feeling wherever he touched her. Mira walked around and corrected the positions of the boys hands.

Then she told the girls how to stand. All of the girls got it right. Then Mira started the music and showed them different types of dance. When they were done with the dance lesson it was already dark, so they all headed home.

Everyone was super tired, and Mira said that there was more lessons tomorrow. Most of the guild members went to the closest house of their team, and for team Natsu, that was Lucy's house. Juvia said she did not want to leave Gray, and Mira said that Jellal couldn't stay in the guild hall that night because they were cleaning, so all 6 of them had to stay at Lucy's. They were all too tired to blow up mattresses or get out cots, so they piled up blankets and slept on those instead.

Lucy and Natsu slept on her bed, which wasn't a surprise to anyone. They would probably do that whether they knew each other's feelings for each other or not. Erza slept on the couch with Jellal on a thick blanket next to the couch. Juvia and Gray slept on the blankets in the middle of the room.

Everyone was too tired for small-talk, so they all fell asleep quickly.
