The party

The hall was stunning, balloons floating up to the ceiling like they wanted to escape, bright colourful confetti covered the floor. Tables laid out precisely with champagne glasses on every table, staff had done an amazing job at decorating this place. The pounding music blaring through the speakers making objects near dance with the beat.

As Alex walked up in to the stunningly decorated hall filled with balloons he linked eyes with the love of his life, his wonderful, gorgeous fiance Lexi. As their eyes met the smile on his face lit up like a million fireflies flew past him, he slowly walked over to Lexi and hugged her tightly, he was so happy to see her. Alex and Lexi were amazed at how well everyone had decorated the room. It was going to be the best engagement party ever. That was when the doors swung open. It was her. What was she doing here? It was Josie. 

"Who invited her? Why is she even here" 

Alex thought, he was shocked and confused as he never invited her to the party. Josie walked over to Alex and Lexi.

"why hello Alex, long time no see" Josie stated smirking.

"Josie, why are you even here" Alex asked.

Josie stared at Alex then turned to look at lexi with pure hatred in her eyes 

" I came to say congratulations, why do you think i'm here" she replied in a sarcastic tone.

"Alex I really need to tell you something" Josie added before Alex could even have a chance to respond.

"And what is that Josie, what is so important that you need to tell me now" Alex snarled, he was starting to get annoyed now.

Josie looked at Alex 

"i'm pregnant, and its your baby...."

Alex was in shock.

He looked straight at lexi, not knowing what to say. He knew he made a mistake and he wanted to make it right.

He had to.

Lexi stood there shocked, tears forming in her eyes, she stood there for what felt like years before she walked away from Alex and Josie. She was heartbroken, hurt, she loved him so much but he went and betrayed her.

Could she ever forgive him?

Lexi was sat outside trying to collect her thoughts on what had just happened inside and what she had just heard.

That's when she felt a hand.

Lexi turned around to see Alex standing behind her, guilt in his eyes, tears forming, he was upset and seemed to be hurt as well.

"I'm sorry, can we talk please" Alex asked quietly. 

Lexi looked deep in to his eyes, she could tell he was hurting and it broke her, she wanted to talk to him about what happened, she wanted to forgive him, but she also needed to know the truth.

"i want to ask you something" Lexi asked him trying not to cry.

Alex nodded "of course, what do you want to know"

Lexi was scared and couldn't manage to find the words but managed to get it out 

" is Josie telling the truth? Did you sleep with her?"

Alex frowned

"yeah I did, I was with a few mates and I had a few to many drinks, and one thing lead to another, it didn't mean anything though Lexi, I love you, I want to be with you. Can you please forgive me?"

Lexi had tears forming in her eyes, she got up, walked over towards Alex and hugged him.

"Of course I will forgive you" she whispered into his ear

"I love you Lexi" Alex whispered

Lexi smiled as she wiped away her tears "I love you to Alex"

A few years had passed and Lexi and Alex finally got married and became pregnant and gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl. Josie gave birth to a baby boy and Alex helped her out by paying for the baby and buying things as well as looking after his daughter.
