roses

 I know you love roses

You watch their petals flutter down

Roaring cries of burning red

There's delicate destruction in it's sound

You blend shades of rouge

Into all that you do

Your smile and laugh

Emulates every bloom

Who doesn't love roses

Their violently vibrant hues

I guess there's no wonder

That their same beauty is found inside of you

Call me a sunflower

A type similar to you

Less lustful and captivating

But nonetheless still wonderfully new

I know you love roses

kind of how I love you

as beautiful as they may seem,

they don't make me happy like you do
