RUBY OVER MONEY (JENLISA)

Chapter 4

Lisa's POV

After grabbing our drinks we proceeded outside and the music was muffled by the doors. It was peaceful outside. I gave Rosé a glass of water to sober her up a little in which she gladly took. We were looking at the stars and cant help but be in awe by their own radiance.

"Lisa, there is something I want to say and I know Im under the influence of alcohol but it was the only way for me to have the courage to tell you this" I looked at Rosé curious about what she's about to say. I looked at her saying as if to go on and she did.

"And I hope nothing changes after this, that we'd still be friends or that you wouldn't be disgusted. Promise me Lisa" Now Im getting worried on what she is about to say.

"Rosé if anything is bothering you, feel free to say it. I'll be here no matter what, I wont judge you or anything" I said trying to comfort her yet worried on what's the reason for her to say these.

"I guess those are really one of the reason why I caught feelings for you. You never judge anyone even on even with their status and that you always care for your love ones that sometimes you forget to leave something for yourself." I froze by the sudden confession I didn't expect Rosé to have feelings for me. Yes we are close but so am I with Jisoo and Jennie.

Due to my lack of response she hurriedly said "I mean its okay, you don't have to feel the same or anything. Its quite clear who you like. Its Jennie isn't it?" I nodded feeling all kinds of things, sad that I have to reject one of my bestfriends, envy because she had the guts to confess, proud that she is doing this maturely unlike others who push things or demand for something in return.

"I just want to let you know so I'd get this feeling off my chest while its still early and so I could save myself from a bad heartache. I want to say this now so I wont have any regrets in the end." She sadly said with tears running through her eyes. Seeing her like this breaks my heart and so I hugged her in attempt to comfort her.

"Im sorry, I just cant stop loving her my feelings for her are boundless that sometimes it scares because I never felt this way with anyone except her." I pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears away

"Hush now, I don't like seeing a chipmunk crying, you'd get ugly if you keep on crying" I jokingly said in attempt to lighten up the heavy mood between us which earned me a smile from her and a slap on my shoulder.

"Ah now that is what Im looking for, Chipmunk Rosé is just so cute when she smiles." I said pinching both of her cheeks.

"Alright no more crying okay? You'll be alright, maybe not now but you will be someone out there is going to be there for you, who's going to love you the way you deserved to be loved. Trust me on this."

"Thank you, and I hope that nothing would change between us. We are still friends right?" She asks looking up to me anticipating for my answer. This girl really, as if I would even have the power to ignore her and become strangers just because she had feelings for me. I love her way too much and I just cant let those reasons to lose my bestfriend.

"Of course we'll still be friends, you cant escape my sweetness and crazy antics even if you want to anyways. You are stuck with me for good" I said grinning at her

"Psh, you and your antics, however there's a little favor I would like to ask and I hope you wouldn't turn this down." She nervously said and starts fidgeting with her hands.

"Okay as long as its within my means I'll do it, now stop fidgeting you're also making me nervous now"

"Is it okay for me to kiss you?" She said with a tint of red on her cheeks looking embarrassed to be asking me this. I however didn't know what to do or say so I just ended up nodding my head. And so she placed her arms around my neck and was about to kiss me.

BAAM!

We heard the door slam open that we immediately let go of each other. It was too late though the person at the door already saw us clearly.

Can you guess who it is?

It was Jennie with tears streaming down her face. She had a look on her as if she was betrayed and angry at someone. Is she mad at us? That can't be we were just fine when we were heading here. It must have been something else.

"Im sor-ry I di—dn't mean tto interrupt" She said through her tears and ran back inside.

I looked at Rosé whom also mirrored my face with worry. Tons of things run through my head as I think what might be the reason why Jennie was crying but one thing is for certain she is hurt and I want to be there for her.  Rosé as if sensing my will to be with Jennie.

"Go and run after her. Im worried about what happened but I also cant be there for her at least not at this moment."

"But what about you? No, stay here alright? I'll get Jisoo unnie to accompany you just to be safe. Some people here are already drunk out of their minds, others are high and I don't want something bad to happen to you."

"Okay, so go and run after Jennie unnie something must've happened." She said urging me to leave and so I did.
