You lived a simple life, a little more day to day business and a little lacking in the amazing action department. Not that you minded it, you quite enjoyed it actually. But with a simple life comes with others trying to gossip, it really wasn't your cup of tea. You were content to live alone with your cats. You hadn't quite reached crazy-cat lady age nor in number of cats, you only had two.

"I saw a man come by your house yesterday, are you finally getting it on with someone?" You neighbor chuckled leaning on the picket fence that divided your yards

You rolled your eyes and chuckled, "That was the mail carrier. So my apologies, no one has tried to steal me away from you yet."

You neighbor laughed and faked offense, "And whats that supposed to mean?"

"You talk to me more than anyone else in the neighborhood, seems like you're just as alone as I am." You chuckled, "But we can be alone together... with my cats."

"Is the creepy one still around?" She asked making a face

"You mean Old Lester?" You chuckled

"If thats what you want to call it." She snorted

"Yes he's still kicking."

"Then count me out of being alone with you, that cat gives me the heeby-jeebies." You neighbor shuddered

You chuckled and moved over to the next section of your garden that needed to be worked on, "Awe, you're mean, he's never done anything to you."

"Its not about what he has done, its about what he will."

You laughed and sat up a little to look at her, "You say that like cats have the processing power to  hate you enough to commit murder."

"Because they do!"

You rolled your eyes and stood up dusting off your knees with a chuckle, "If you say so."

"taking this conversation to the front yard?" Your neighbor asked

"Perhaps, are you gonna follow me?"

"Perhaps you'd be correct."

You chuckled softly, "Perhaps Ill be okay with that as long as you bring lemonade."

"You've got yourself a deal."

You watched her bustle back into her house as you shook your head chuckling as you looked around your nicely kept yard. You smiled in satisfaction as you walked into your own house to be met with a loud meowing feline who demanded more food.

"No, you're on a diet cause you've gotten fat!" You laughed

You were met with another loud complaint from the cat. You reached down and gave the feline a scratch between the ears. She bumped her head into the scratches as you slowly pulled your hand away.

You got yelled at again as you started walking towards your front yard. You rolled your eyes at the cat and walked out your front door and to the flower bed on the right side. But you were soon interrupted when an ice cube was dropped down the back of your shirt.

After some squirming around and shivering you removed the intruder of your clothes and glared at your neighbor. But you soon let it slide as you got a glass of lemonade.

"Lets go out tonight. to the bar." she stated

"Why?" You asked pausing your sipping from the glass

"For fun, plus you need to go out somewhere besides work, Trust me it will be fun." She grinned

"... Fine, but you better make sure I get back home at the end of the night." You gave her a firm look

"Of course, I won't let you leave my sight." She grinned

She ended up not keeping that promise.
