the cold wisp of the morning air nipped at my soft skin as the yellow train came rushing through the echoey tunnel.
another train followed the first, but soon halted to a complete stop. the yellow doors to the train pushed open, and several students sluggishly rushed inside to find a seat.
i got caught in the massive crowd of students trying to get in, so when my chubby body was finally able to enter through the train doors and arrive inside, there was barely any seats left.
my eyes scanned throughout the bus nervously, hoping that i could find a single seat, and i did, but the seat was right next to you, and i became flustered.
i was far too insecure to sit next to a cute boy like you, so i let one of the skinny and pretty girls sit next to you instead. even though the sight of you smiling at her made my heart hurt, i ignored my emotions and convinced myself that it's better this way.
it's better that you don't have to feel uncomfortable because of my thick thighs intruding your personal space. it's better that you don't have to feel my plump arm touching your slim one, and it's better that you don't have to be embarrassed by your friends later on in the day because you were forced to sit next to a fat girl.
"it's better if i stand anyways, i need the exercise", i mumbled softly as i wrapped my chubby hand around the hanging strap. all i wished for right now was to get to school quickly.
little did i know that you were staring at me with affectionate eyes, upset that i was forced to stand up instead of the other girls.
