        Calypso's P.O.V.

Um, okay. I've never written one of these... books. Or anything. So I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Calypso. Yes, you may have heard of me from Greek mythology. Yes, I am the real Calypso.(Or as modern people say it- 'The real deal'.) And finally, yes, I am immortal. I'm on this island that I've come to love called Ogygia. And I can't really get off of my island because, well, the gods banished me here.

My real story started about five days ago.

                                                                                ......

I walked towards my moonlace garden and sqatted down. I dove my spade into the ground and dug up a moonlace. With my hands full of soil, I walked back to my house. I walked over to a little vase and put the plant inside. I sat down in my small chair and almost fell asleep, if it weren't for a noise I heard in the distance.

I ran out of my house and looked up, to see someone falling from the sky. He had something on fire above his head, and it looked like it was turning. Suddenly, the- the thing exploded, and sent the boy flying to the beach. I started running to the beach and saw two big craters. The boy got out of the first one and looked around for something and saw the other crater. He walked to the other crater and said, "Sphere! Come to Papa!" He jumped in and picked up the sphere. I walked over to him and said, "What are you doing? You blew up my dining table!"

The boy's curly, black hair fell over his eyes as he smiled mischeviously. "Wow. That's the only thing you say to me after I fall from the sky onto an uncharted island? Really?"

"Yes, really!" I looked up to the sky and said to the gods, "Why gods, do you insult me with such a scrawny boy, when you take away the decent ones?"

"Uh, you know I'm right here?"

"UGH." With that, I walked away back to my house. I heard the boy say to me, "Hey, Hot Stuff! Wait up!"

I started walking towards my cave, ignoring the elf coming up next to me, and all of the stupid questions he was asking. 'Where am I?', 'When can I leave?', 'What's for dinner?'

Finally, I lost my temper. "Can you just shut up for a while? Can't you see that I'm trying to do something?" The boy looked hurt.

"Okay. I'll just go take a walk." After that, I layed down on my bed and wept. Why did the gods have to mock me by sending this Latino kid, when they could've sent another hot, son of Zeus? With lightning powers?

Eventually, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I saw the boy sitting in one of my chairs, drinking some water. I sat up, my hair ruffled from the bed, and looked at him. "I thought I would come and check on you." He said quietly.

        "Thanks?"

"Well, I thought that we would start by introducing ourselves. My name is Leo Valdez. What is yours?" He spoke in a slow, dragged out voice.

"My name is Calypso. Welcome to Ogygyia."

"Didn't seem very welcome to me." Leo muttered. I tried to keep my cool.

        "So, do you want anything?"

"Uh, yeah, sure. What's for dinner?"

"I guess I could make some soup. Are you okay with that?"

        "Uh, sure, I guess."

I walked out of my cave and into my garden. I spent about half an hour(or however long it was; time on Ogygia is difficult) digging up vegetables like zuccini, carrots, and tomatoes to put in the soup. When night fell, I finished the stew. Leo slurped it up, and the went outside to sleep. "Wait!" I said, rushing over to him. "What are you doing? Sleep inside, it gets cold at night outside."

"Huh, no," He said with a yawn. "I can't disturb your beauty sleep."

"No, no. Just sleep. You're on my island, and I should treat you with respect."

        "Sure, whatever."

So he slept on the bed, and I slept on the couch, and just as I was drifting off to sleep, I realized one thing: I was starting to like Leo.
