Heya, UV here! Thanks for checking out my underdeveloped story! At any given moment I may revamp the entire story or parts of it as I have very little developed. Seeing as this was a story I made for the purpose of Wattpad, it is extremely flawed. Please bear with the hiccups along the road, and the lack of action in the earlier chapters!
I don't have an update schedule nor do I intend on ever having one. Please keep this in mind.

Part 1
Dawn was breaking, and the tall beams of the tower began to capture the golden rays of the sun. I raised my eyes to the towering castle that stood before me. Now, with the sun radiating off its splendid heights, I had to shield my eyes to prevent being blinded. In spite of it, I couldn't help but feel the seedling of resentment, after all, this was where my pains had brought me to, and I was about to find out why...
It was daybreak at the dark castle looming over the town square. The silence that cloaked the exterior of the castle was stifling, and seemed to forebode horrible omens. Or it would, had this not been the norm, yet past the gloomy and silent exterior of the castle, the inside was bustling with equal amounts of tension, but far exceeding in volume.
In a lonesome room far down the corridor of the third floor aroused a young girl. Wearing a white sleeveless nightgown, she propped herself up from her bed and rubbed at her menacing purple eyes. She let out an unattractive yawn before collapsing back on bed and staring intently at the ceiling. Her long strands of deep purple hair fanned out around her head resembling, slightly, a peacock tail.
"Venunuae! Are you awake yet? The event is less than an hour away!" shouted her elder sister Maryia. Footsteps approached Ven's room and her door was slammed open. From the other side of the doorway emerged a tall woman with pursed lips and her hands placed firmly on her hips.
"Ven, you're late" She said, placing special emphasis on that last word. As she spoke, her green eyes roamed disapprovingly down Venunuae and her raspberry tinted hair swayed with her as she shook her head in dismay. "You're not even dressed! Whatever is wrong with you? You have no more than 30 minutes to get ready for the ceremony!"
Stifling a groan, Venunuae sat up in bed and fixed her eyes on Maryia "You know I'm not the least bit interested in that stuck-up, half-witted ostrich. I can show up soaking wet and smelling of trash for all I care" There was a venomous bite to her tone, as she vented out anger that had long been locked in. "...idiot who only cares about power and fame..." She continued to murmur aggressively but dressed herself anyways.
She slipped on a simple purple gown adorned with just the barest lining of golden thread and fastened a belt around her hip. Reaching up she combed her hair into a sleek ponytail which she promptly tied with a black hairband.
Her spout of complaints stopped abruptly as her eyes lit up and her lips curved into a mischievous smile. "You think anyone would notice if we slipped past palace walls before the banquet?" She inquired this in a persuasive tone with her smile never quite vanishing from her face.
Maryia replied in kind, "Oh, I'm sure it would be fine if you had an emergency to tend to for a few days even" A smile erupted on her face to before suddenly vanishing. "Ugh, I can't I need to do a few things" She let out a croaked groan. "Well then, I'll tell father that you had an emergency and can't be present for the marriage with a certain" Her hands made mock quotation marks in the air, "stuck-up, half-witted ostrich."
Venunaue barked out a laugh and offered a grateful smile to her sister. "Thank dude" She said. "By the way, let poor father know that it may be a while before my return" she spoke seriously this time and Maryia stirred up recollections of their latest conversations. She gave a somewhat forced nod before swooping Ven into a hug and whispering into her ear. "I'll miss you pumpkin" she muttered affectionately. Ven punched her playfully and smiled before saying, "Yeah yeah, don't get all sappy on me now, melon."
Offering a faintly reassuring smile, Venunaue opened her window and leapt off of the ledge falling into the hands of the world and out of the mess she called a home. She finally could pursue her dream. The one dream that never failed to repeat night after night, though her memory failed her, she could slightly recall the presence of a towering golden castle shrouded by a heavy cloud of mist and far off in the distance.
