Public sentiment is often times the function of an influence proceeding from an influential person. Influence is not just a trait of a leader, it indicates the fact that one can win the hearts of many, and the one who wins the hearts of people controls the opinions of those people. Many who even led men into void and useless actions like Osama Bin Ladin were men who simply mastered the art of influence. People throughout history have died for causes they believed in, some include those who died through bomb-suicide, these people were simply influenced by a master mind artist who knew how to sugarcoat evil to good and present tragedy as comedy before men.
