Hero excitedly pointed at her, which instantly freed Notch and Steve from the fatigue of sleep.

But it also made the guard look too. And he wasn't excited to see her.

Allison widened her eyes at the big endermite guard.

"Oh, no."

The guard growled into a walkie talkie that sounded like he said "someone's here". He tossed it to the side and unsheathed his heavy iron broadsword.

She gulped, and quickly dodged an attack from the guard. The creature quickly recovered from the swing and turned around to hit her again. This time, he didn't miss.

Allison yelled and swung her axe around to hit him on the arm. The armor the endermite had on didn't get a dent from her axe's sharp blade. She landed on the ground with a thud, clutching her wound that was on her side.

"Allison!" Hero called to her. "Break our bars, we can help."

"I..." She managed to gasp out, and barely managed to dodge another swing from the guard. Allison weakly activated her void magic, and threw a ball of it at the bars that separated her from the other three, and it began to rot the steel away.

She blocked the guard's sword with her axe, using both hands. Getting a kick in the shin, the endermite collapsed, and she used this moment to kick his sword away and choke him with her axe. She used the wooden stick part of her weapon, and pressed herself against the wall, preventing the endermite from breathing air.

She held it tight, and just as she thought the guard would die, he grabbed her arms and threw her over to the opposite wall. Luckily, nothing broke (unlike the last time), but the guard was back on his feet.

He stood up, and glanced at the slowly decaying steel bars that kept Hero, Steve, and Notch in their cell. The poles were about to break; any moment later and they would collapse.

The endermite guard ignored his broadsword that lay a few feet away from him, and focused on the girl in front of him. He picked her up by the neck, and was now the one to choke.

She started to gasp for air, while trying to rip his claws away from her neck. A growl came from her mouth, and her skin started to turn pale.

But orange smoke started to appear around her.

Adam looked around the room.

"She left her braces." He said to himself while picking them up. "And that body pillow, too."

He set the metal braces next to the pink pillow, and stared at the table. Something was missing. The endercoins. The message.

He blinked a few times, and remembered what he had done. "At least she took those. If that was even her."

He shut his eyes one more time, and when they opened, he began to panic. "What if she was kidnapped? What if someone is holding her hostage? Where is she? Where do I look?"

He muttered many more questions to himself, and suddenly remembered the head nod Hero gave to Allison when she was asleep. Was she actually asleep?

Then one final question escaped his lips. "Is she at the dungeon?"

He gathered his things and was about to exit the door, when suddenly two figures appeared.

Douglas and Dr. Soren.

"Oh. Hey, Douglas."

"Hi." The hybrid scooted past him and scoured the room. "She's gone, isn't she?"

Adam sighed. "Yes."

"Remember the button?"

"Yeah. Should I press it now?"

"There's no point."

"Right." Adam took it out of his pocket and tossed it onto a bed.

A moment later, a faint voice was heard. Douglas produced a walkie talkie out of his pocket and listened.

"Someone's here."

He narrowed his eyes, while Adam widened his. "I know exactly where she is." Douglas muttered, and rushed out of the room. Adam began to follow, until he noticed Dr. Soren still standing there.

"Tell him my lunch break is over." The doctor said, and left without saying anything else.

"K then," Adam muttered to himself, and closed the door after leaving the room. Looking at his watch, he found a flying creature to transform into - an owl.

He tapped the little device on his wrist, and a few seconds later, he was a white barn owl. He took flight and flew through the automatic doors.

He flew up to view his surroundings. Eventually, he saw Douglas running, tearing through crowds and leaving dust in his wake. Adam dove down to catch up with the hybrid, and almost spooked him.

"Shouldn't you be flying?" He cawed at him.

"Shouldn't you be normal? How are you an owl?" Douglas half-yelled, panting a little.

"Long story!" Adam replied, tapping his watch with a talon.

Eventually Douglas also took off, and Adam flew up to catch up with him. They made it to the dungeons faster than running would have been, especially with traffic.

They made it to their destination. Douglas landed with a thud, and the only sounds coming from Adam was a light tap of his claws and his watch. He used his talons to change the organism he wanted to be, scrolling through the choices. He found his human form and tapped on it. A few seconds later he was himself again, lab coat and all.

They rushed into the dungeon, not bothering to avoid the metal detector and letting it go off. Adam unsheathed his rapier and changed its element to ice, preparing to shoot it at anything that came in front of him.

But nothing came from the hallways. In fact, it was dead silent; the building seemed like it had been abandoned a long time ago. There were still prisoners inside the cells, but they didn't make any noise. Douglas either didn't notice, or didn't care, as he walked towards the cell he put Hero, Steve, and Notch in.

As he found the last hallway, Douglas immediately felt something wrong. He jogged to the remnants of what he was looking for.

"No."

What was left of the bars were all corroded, and the deck of Uno was abandoned.

"Aw man, they left Uno behind." Adam said, trying to lighten the mood.

"I guess that was what Hero's head nod meant." Douglas said to himself, sighing. He touched the bars, and immediately took back his hand. "They were just here. It's still hot."

"Well then they must still be close."

"True, but the real question is how they got out, that cell is supposed to block any type of magic."

A moment later, they turned to face each other.

"Allison."
