After the pool Sophia was in the greatest of moods: Luke proved amazing company, he really did but she couldn't stop thinking about how Louis had called him daddy. She was conscious that Louis had detached Louis from Liam being his fatherly model so the only thing she could do is try and boost their bond by being present each time Liam was looking after him. She was quick to send him a text during the break in the magic show as Louis was preoccupied sat with Luke smiling at all the friendly faces.

Sophia- I need to speak to you about Louis.

Liam- what is it because I'm really not in the fucking mood for it. We had to explain and lie to everybody that Louis was unwell and this morning he ended up being papped because you didn't take him privately. So we were all shown to be liars to several media outlets.

Sophia- because you left him starving and vulnerable! How dare you try blame me for this Liam. I was going to suggest you take him out for the day but I'm starting to regret offering.

Liam- fine by me, me and the boys are going bowling. If you change your mind and stop being so fussy be free to drop him over I'll send you the address. If not enjoy the sun and goodbye

Sophia- you're a worthless piece of shit you do know that right.

Liam- of course. Now bye.

With an exasperated sigh she slammed the phone down on the table. Why was Liam being so inconsiderate and irrational whilst she tried to fix the bond between a son and father. Instead she remained focused on the one good thing she had and smiled when Louis held his cute grin back to her. It was satisfying to see her boy happy and comfortable in the presence of a male other than Liam and it put her at ease when she noticed how accepting Luke was of his appearance.

"Now kids, if you don't like loud noises, then I suggest you close your ears. This bang is going to be loud"

With a laugh a loud explosive rang through the room sending many children into hysterics. Louis was one of these, crying loudly as he clutched onto Luke tightly. She noticed that Charlotte looked rather uncomfortable so she took her hand gently and followed Luke out the room. In the hallway there were a few parents also trying to calm their children down and Luke was doing an expert job at it.

"No need for tears is there boo, lets just focus on stopping these hiccups hmm" he mumbled gently patting the smaller boys back.

"Mama" Louis mumbled softly into Luke's neck not making any attempt to be transferred over so Sophia left him as he was and bent down to check on Charlotte.

"You okay sweetie" she asked sincerely.

"Yeah" she smiled back "it was a Big Bang but it was so fun to watch can we go back in"

"Maybe in a minute, Lou just needs to calm down" Luke told her sweetly.

"It's fine" Sophia assured "I'll take her back in and you calm Louis down"

"Okay, thanks I owe you one"

"Ditto"

Luke's point of view
Louis clings to me adorably as his slightly cold thighs brush against my bare side I sigh and pull his socks a little higher to hopefully rid the cold.

"It's okay huh boo, no more bangs now" I tell him calmly.

"Yeah daddy" he mumbles softly.

"I'm not daddy boo"

"Are" he whimpers softly clearly coming distressed once again.

"Alright calm it, let's go for a walk huh" I suggest pushing his pacifier back into his mouth.
