The Kajiu King Part 7

[Buzzards - Intro to Hakuna Matata Scene]

{Buzzards are circling the child's body. One descends, then all. They circle around it. With a blast of music, Rodan riding Anguirus appears and dives into the midst of the buzzards. They slap, punch, and kick the buzzards all away.}

Rodan: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaahh! Get out! Get out! Get outta here! Whoo!
Anguirus: I love it! Bowling for buzzards!
Rodan: {Laughing, dusting himself off} Gets 'em every time.
Anguirus: {Looking at Godzilla} Uh-oh. Hey Rodan. You better come look. I think it's still alive.
Rodan: Ewww...

{Rodan walks to the front of Godzilla, who is lying with his arm over his face.}

Rodan: All righty, what have we got here? {he smells Godzilla}

{He tries to lift Godzilla's arm. He can't. He gets under it and with a great push gets it above his head. He sees Godzilla's face.}

Rodan: Jeez, it's a Kajiu hunter! {Jumping up on Anguirus} Run, Anguirus! Move it!
Anguirus: Hey, Rodan. It's just a little Kajiu hunter. Look at him. He's so cute, and all alone! Can we keep him?
Rodan: {Yelling into Anguirus's ear, which creates a reverberating effect} Anguirus, are you nuts? We're talking about a Kajiu hunter. Kajiu hunters hunt guys like us.
Anguirus: But he's so little.

{He leans over to regard Godzilla, and accidentally dumps Rodan from his head.}

Rodan: He's gonna get bigger.
Anguirus: {Seen from Rodan's point of view on the ground, with a huge face) Maybe he'll be on our side.
Rodan: A--huh! That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. Maybe he'll b-- ...Hey, I got it! What if he's on our side? You know, having a Kajiu hunter around might not be such a bad idea.
Anguirus: So we keeping 'im?
Rodan: Of course. Who's the brains in this outfit?

{Anguirus scoops Godzilla up on his arms}

Anguirus: Uhhh...
Rodan: My point exactly. Jeez, I'm fried. Let's get out of here and find some shade.
Anguirus: Can we name him Fred?
Rodan: No.

{Anguirus trots off with Rodan on his back and carrying Godzilla.}

[Hakuna Matata Scene]

{Camera switch to Anguirus, Rodan, and Godzilla are near a pool of water and oasis. Godzilla has been laid near the water. Rodan splashes some water in Godzilla's face. Godzilla stirs.}

Rodan: You okay, kid?
Godzilla: I guess so.
Anguirus: You nearly died.
Rodan: I saved you.
Anguirus: {Snorts at Rodan}
Rodan: Well, uh, Anguirus helped. A little.
Godzilla: {Dully} Thanks for your help.

{Godzilla heads off quietly back out towards the desert.}

Rodan: Hey, where you going?
Godzilla: Nowhere.
Rodan: {Watching Godzilla, talking to Anguirus} Gee. He looks blue.
Anguirus: I'd say white-ish tan.
Rodan: No, no, no, no. I mean he's depressed.
Anguirus: Oh.

{Anguirus trots up to Godzilla}

Anguirus: Hey kid, what's eatin' ya?
Rodan: Nothing; he's at the top of the food chain! Ahhhhhhha ha haaa! The food cha-haain! {Anguirus and Godzilla stare at him silently} Ha ha hum... ahem. {Realizing his joke flopped} So, where you from...?
Godzilla: Who cares? I can't go back.
Rodan: Ahh. You're an outcast! That's great, so are we.
Anguirus: What'cha do, kid?
Godzilla: Something terrible. But I don't wanna talk about it.
Rodan: Good. We don't wanna hear about it.
Anguirus: {To Rodan} Come on, Rodan. {To Godzilla} Anything we can do?
Godzilla: Not unless you can change the past.
Anguirus: You know, kid, in times like this my buddy Rodan here says, "You got to put your behind in your past..."
Rodan: {Waving arms} No. No. No.
Anguirus: I mean...
Rodan: Amateur. Lie down before you hurt yourself. {to Godzilla} It's "You got to put your past behind you." Look, kid. Bad things happen, and you can't do anything about it, right?
Godzilla: Right.
Rodan: {Pokes Godzilla's nose} Wrong! When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world.
Godzilla: Well, that's not what I was taught.
Rodan: Then maybe you need a new lesson. Repeat after me. {Clears throat} Hakuna Matata.
Godzilla: {Still lethargic} What?
Anguirus: Ha-ku-na Ma-ta-ta. It means "No worries."
