"I can't believe Sabin actually likes me like that.. This is like a dream come true... I've been fighting these feeling for gods know how long and now I can love him without any consequence...!" Alice thought happily as she looked at Sabin, however, she couldn't celebrate her victory quite yet. She still needed to find Adrien and give him the slip, the message she saw from Sabin's phone didn't tell her exactly where he was but she had a feeling he was close either on a plane right now or even in the country now it wasn't that far by plane no more than four hours with delays. Alice was pacing herself as she thought about how she was going to stop Adrien from finding her. It was a nightmare, she didn't want to be with the douche anymore and yet here he was trying to whisk her away, "Sabin this is the absolute worse... What if he's already in the city?"
"Then we'll deal with him, it's easy but I don't think he will find you... you don't have your location on on your phone right?"
"Of course not, I never do, it's way too easy to find that way. I never had it on when I was a hunter neither even though Galen wanted me to have it on for 'safety reasons'." Alice said grabbing her phone and showing him that her location was off, "now it's time to think of a plan. Maybe we should go on a date and lure him out of the darkness and we can go rounds with him."
"I like the way you're think Alice. However, Lucien and some of the others went to look for any leads that may lead us to the box or at least the artifacts needed to help locate it..."
"So then who is left to protect Annilise and the fortress?" Alice asked with a curious voice. "Well we have you and me. Then we have Kane looking after Annie, Torin keeping an eye on the surveillance systems, and lastly to help you and I we have Gideon, Amun, Reyes, and Paris."
"Not a bad line up we have to help us, however, if we go out then they will be down two able bodies and I don't think four people, immortal warriors or not can defend this fortress by themselves."
"You'd be surprised Alice. Besides we have Torin watching the ins and outs of the fortress. Torin can let anyone know if something is going on and they can plan a preemptive attack. We will just have to get everyone here for a meeting really quick, is there anything about Adrien you need to let us know about?" Sabin asked looking at her before he sent a text to the remaining people in the fortress. Alice just looked at him and she thought before something came to her mind, "he has two sides... Every time he would look in the mirror it was like he was having a conversation with himself. As if a better part of him was trapped inside..."
"So we're dealing with a magic user of some kind right?"
"It is very possible yes... However I don't know what kind of magic he uses..." Alice said looking up at Sabin who was sending a text to the people that were still in the fortress to meet in the game room which they all agreed to do so.
Once they got into the game room they all sat down on the couch or chairs that were there while Alice and Sabin took front and center looking at everyone, "alright thank you for coming here and meeting with us... We have a new threat that isn't the hunters... It's an ex-boyfriend of mine... He is a magic user. He is capable of killing all of us with just motion... When he and I were dating it was like there was two different people one nice side in the mirror while the other evil half was walking around freely... Now he is coming here to try and forcefully take me back to Spain. He sent a text to Sabin saying he was going to kill him and knew how to and that he was on his way to Budapest..."
"Alright, so then why did you call us here...? We don't need to be dragged into your problems Alice." Paris said with a sigh leaning back on the couch spreading his legs as if inviting Alice to sit on him to which Alice groaned and shook her head, "If Adrien is here and finds out where I am he will kill anyone that stands in his way... When he has a mission, he has a mission..."
"Okay so then what are we supposed to do then sweetie pie?" Paris said with a smirk knowing his teasing was getting under her skin, "you all stay here while Sabin and I are out on recon. Bugaboo..." Alice said the last part sarcastically knowing exactly what Paris was doing and he couldn't help but laugh at it, "fair enough... So basically Torin keeps an eye on the surveillance as per usual... Kane looks after his love bug and that leaves the rest of us to stay in contact with Torin in case an invasion happens... Sounds a bit suspicious if you ask me... How do we know we can trust you Alice... You are an ex-hunter after all... Maybe you have a trap in store for Sabin once you two are alone..."
"If you don't believe me why don't I just strip down for you guys and you can do a thorough look at me..."
"We don't believe you Ali..."
"Thank you Gideon... Now if everyone is good with the plan Sabin and I are off on our date to try and lure Adrien out... You guys stay in the fortress and contact us if something happens."
"You got it sweetie pie..." Paris said as Sabin and Alice left for their mission to try and find their new enemy.
Adrien was looking at his cell phone at the time he arrived in Budapest, "alright it's just past three o'clock... Now to find Alice and her man whore..." he then looked at his small pocket mirror fixing his messy hair so it was nicer looking, "it's so much better this way don't you think?"
"I don't know how you want me to respond Alexander... You are my evil twin and you trapped me in the mirror and you're posing under my name you bastard..."
"And who's fault was it that they got trapped in the mirror realm again? Oh yeah yours..."
"Only because of the cage I was trapped in made me do it because you commanded me to switch places with you. Where even is that Cage of Compulsion anyway?"
"It's hidden in the house safe and sound... Where you won't be able to tell Alice about it. Wait who am I kidding you'll never tell Alice anything ever again... I have you stuck in the mirror realm..."
"There's always a way out of here..."
"Oh puh-lease... just face it your stronger and more better twin is better than you in every way..." Upon hearing voices Alexander quickly hid his mirror and went to see the voices, perfect they were the people he needed in his sights to kill, well more so kill and manipulate.
"Sabin we've been walking around for hours and we haven't found a damn thing...!" Alice complained to her newly made boyfriend. Sabin only looked at her and rolled his eyes, "you are a real piece of work you know that...?" the male then looked off into the distance seeing blonde hair. Sabin nudged Alice and she looked over at where Sabin was looking and she growled walking over to the blonde male in a heated stride. Once she got to the male she punched him square in the face, "So you did come here Adrien! Well you can just forget it! I'm done being your little bitch, and I am not coming with you back to Spain I found people who actually care about me!"
"You're making a mistake Alice! No one really loves you, only I do... and I will prove it to you!" Adrien said as he grabbed Alice by the wrist and almost manage to put her in an enchanted sleep. It all happened way to fast for Alice to react to it, only a weak attempt to pull away, to which Sabin quickly got in the way pulling her back into his protective arms but the smoke only enveloped both of them when the smoke finally cleared Alice was in the room where she spent so many days withering away for the sick pleasures of Adrien, "Adrien what did you do?!" The vampire asked angrily her fangs bared, "Let us go or so help me I will end your life!" This only made Adrien look at Alice and chuckled softly, "Well you see you can stop calling me Adrien, and start calling me Alexander... That's my real name... Adrien is long gone... He was gone even before you came into his life... I made you who you are today Alice and that is a monster... A very expensive one too... Your blood is always the most expensive on the market and I need more of it so why don't you come here and we can start on a mass production of your blood again."
"Absolutely not! I was your slave once I am not doing that again!" the vampire said as she pulled out her sword but she couldn't hold it properly as the enchanted sleep began to wash over her and she collapse onto the ground, "Alice!" was all she heard until a second thud sounded and Sabin was also down for the count, "damn you Alexander..." Alice mumbled out and then her vision went dark.
