The book is set in the near future and centers around the 'flock', a group of human-avian hybrids (98% human, 2% bird) on the run from the scientists who created them. It focuses on Maximum Ride (Max), the leader of the 'flock', and the first-person narrator of the story.
So Maximum Ride lives with her flock. Fang(Best guy ever!),Iggy,Nudge, The Gasman(Gazzy),Angel. With Gazzy and Angel being the only ones related by blood. Now the first books starts off with the flock follwing after Angel after she was stolen by the white coats. On the way they also try to find the parents.
This is a book with epic twist and turns. With all the great fights scenes in between.
Also this book serice is due to be a movie hopefully in 2013.
OM: This was the best book serice I have ever read I do recamend with no dout in my mind that you would hate it. So go to the store and buy buy buy!
Warning: This is James Patterson, and if you have ever read a book by him before then you know lots of cliff hanger. There are afew cuss works such as( D and A). I think that is all I think that was it. I think the B word is in the manga version though.
