Malva has been wrestling with darkness for as long as she could remember. Even now, it still feels foreign to her body. She was four or five when Alpha Shade retrieve her from her room. His cold gaze stare over her with a glaze that could only be describe as hatred. He roughly pulled the girl to her feet dragging her out the room and through the pack house. Malva wanted to cry out in confusion and terror, unknowingly what the scary man was doing with her; but she bite her lips, for this was the first time she was ever let out the room.

Caged like a deranged animal since she was one years old. Imagine. Bare white walls and just a cover...a bucket as a makeshift toilet...bread and milk just once a day for a meal. Malva wide curious eyes dart around the house in wonder, seeing most things for the first time. Alpha Shade lead her quickly down the steps basically dragging her. The short-legged girl had trouble keeping up with his long strides. Her heart beat loudly against the suffocating silence around her. Only the light of the moon gave her the right to see what lies ahead. But the darkness didn't affect the Alpha one bit, he moved with confidence in the night.

Even then the first thing she ever met was darkness.

The pair burst through the main doors of the house greeted with icy cold wind. Malva throw her arms over her eyes to block the wind from nipping angrily at her face. Tears sprung desperately in her eyes yearning for the safety of her room. It was a night of anger and it didn't seem to affect the Alpha one bit. He guided Malva deep into the forest scaring the poor girl even more.

"Circe," Alpha Shade emotionless voice called out into the night.

He stop inside a small clearing his black eyes scanning the tree line before him. Malva stood at his side curiously wiping at her tear stricken face. In the mist of the darkness a snap of a stick caught both their attention. A woman appeared slowly from the shadows a cloak covering her writhed body. The first feature you notice is her weirdly long gated nose that curl slightly at the tip. Pale green wrinkly skin covered her oval face. Her beady dark eyes twinkled in that natural creepy way as an unsettling chuckle escaped her lips. Malva release a frighten noise hiding weakly behind the Alphas arm.

"Is this the girl," the witch silvery voice spoke taunting.

Malva jump at the disturbing sound pushing herself even more behind the Alpha. He look down at the little girl with dead eyes before looking back towards the witch. She smile a sickly smile indicating for him to bring her forward. Malva shook her head not wanting to go anywhere near the woman. Shade rolls his eyes twisting her so that she stood before him. He push her down roughly on her knees before the witch.

"Hello, pretty," the witch sings bending down to Malva's face.

Malva's body shook in fear an disgust as a snarled filled her face. Unfazed the witch reach for her hand while pulling out a knife, only to come up empty with dirt. Malva snatch her hand up like her hand would burn hers.

"Give me your hand child," the witch screech lunging at her.

Malva move to scramble back but the force of a hand stop her suddenly. She look up into the dark cold eyes of the Alpha. His hand curly onto her shoulder keeping her put. The witch use that time to snatch her hand and with one swift swipe slash the palm. Malva cried loudly in pain trying to pull her throbbing hand from the witches iron hold. Jumble words spill freely from the witches lips as she chant into the night. Malva eyes land solely on the witch watching her with big round eyes.

A black vial appeared in the witches hand as incoherent words continue to spill from her lips. Alpha Shade let go of the little girls shoulder taking a step back. Crimson blood seeped from her tiny hands as she stare at the witch in confusion. She starts to yell now rolling her eyes to the back of her head. Her body shook violently as she blindly pour the black liquid from the vile onto the open wound. Malva have never felt pain like this before as her startled scream cuts into the night.

"AH, STOP IT HURTS!" she yells at the witch.

The witch utter only these six words in English, "Let the darkness reign inside her."

In a deadly swift in the wind Malva fell limply onto the ground with a small thump. The witch smile standing to her feet as she gaze fondly at the girl. Shade step up picking the girl small frame into his arm. Her head laid comfortably against his chest like she was just sleeping. His eyes turn to the witch with a slight nod before turning to leave without another word. A deranged laugh followed creepily behind him.

And when she wakes, Malva, will forget everything about her life after that night.
