it's the last thought
before every
fleeting moment in my life
the last thought before
i take off across the field after saying, "race you to the other side!"
the last thought before
i walk into a room
that fills me with nervousness
beyond belief.
the last thought before
i head
into the restaurant for our
first dinner date.
the last thought before
i am walking down the aisle
on the biggest day of my life;
of our lives.
the last thought before i
let myself fall into your
arms
your arms that are
open wide and inviting
me to stay
your arms that are safe, protective around me
your arms that are home.
