“Looks good, Joey,” I commented to the person who just finished tattooing my sister’s name in Hebrew on my arm. We had been going back and forth talking for a while and he had actually come to be a friend of mine.

“Well what did you expect from me?” he asked as we walked out of his shop together. “So have you decided whether or not you are coming with me to see Screaming Sympathy?” Joey questioned as we neared a Starbucks, and the wind picked up in the dark evening.

“Might as well go right? On holiday as it is,” I said as we walked into the Starbucks.

“What can I get for you?” a barista with odd, choppy layers in her bleach blonde hair with odd coloured highlights and tips asked us.

“Alexandria?” Joey asked from beside me. How does he know this girl? She looked up from what she was doing on the register, revealing her shocking, bright blue eyes.

“Hey, Joey!” she said reaching across the counter and hugging him. They talked for a bit before we remembered why were there and she walked away to make our coffee.

“So how do you know her?” I asked putting emphasis on ‘her’ because any guy with a pair of working eyes could see she was fit, and would be all over her.

“I set her up with her band. They’re doing quite well now; maybe I’ll convince her to score you a ticket to one of their concerts. Why Styles? See something you like?” he asked cheekily, winking at me. Oh God, I’m never going to live that down. “Harry likes the scene girl!” Joey said in a singsong voice, before he thanked the pretty barista and we left.

“That’s cool and NO but I will be the first to admit the girl is fit. When’s this Screened Symphony concert anyway?” I asked, not that I really cared; it was just some place to be rather than a hotel room since I was in LA. The boys and I decided we were going to spend half of this holiday apart, not including the texting and phone/Skype calls that went on between us all.

“Well first of all it’s Screaming Sympathy and second of all I’m not sure of the exact time, it’s like one of those music festival things, but tomorrow.”  Joey said as we walked back to his shop where my rental car was parked. I wasn’t going to bloody walk all over LA or ride a bus and be mobbed!

Alexandria’s POV:

“Blake!” I called through my apartment once I walked in.

“A? That you?” he called back.

“No, it’s the freaking boogey man. Duh it’s me,” I said sarcastically. “What time is sound check tomorrow?”

“Umm… let me look,” he said grabbing his phone as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water. “Two.”

“‘Kay well, I had a long shift so I’m going up to bed. Don’t wreck anything yeah?” I asked. Blake was staying with me until his girlfriend got into town and they got an apartment of their own. I didn’t mind seeing as he was my drummer, and one of my best friends. Moreover, I was just thankful his girlfriend didn’t flip shit since Blake and I had a history of being more than friends, but not fully dating... It was complicated, but he and I got over that and he seems genuinely happy with Jessica. I’m not going to screw that up for him.

~~Next day~~

“A! GET UP! WE HAVE SOUNDCHECK!” I faintly heard Blake yell, and then a pillow hit my face. Jackass.

“Alright, alright I’m up, butt head. How much time do I have before we need to leave?” I asked standing and stretching my back, forgetting I was just in a pair of lace underwear and a small tank top.
