Annoyed.
Nayeon is annoyed.
She was thoroughly annoyed with the girl at the back.
Nayeon was now walking towards the Architecture building for her Math class and Jeongyeon's figure is following behind.
She becomes more annoyed when she remembered how Jimin avoided her when he saw Jeongyeon is beside her, AND seating in his seat. He must've thought I let Jeongyeon sit in the his place. Hmp.
Nayeon tried calling Jimin before he went out of class but Jimin looks like he can't stand being in one room with Jeongyeon. Jungkook must be right, there's no way Jimin had moved on already.
When Nayeon went up the stairs, she felt Jeongyeon went up too. When Nayeon turned a corner, Jeongyeon turned too. By the second turn, Nayeon was huffing in frustration already. When Nayeon reached her classroom door, Jeongyeon was still behind her. Nayeon can't stay silent anymore and turned towards Jeongyeon.
"Excuse me." Nayeon looked at Jeongyeon trying hard not to get awkward when Jeongyeon looked back.
"Are you following me?""No." Jeongyeon pointed towards the door. "This is my class too." Jeongyeon went past her and went inside.
Nayeon can't believe she was still classmates with Jeongyeon. If she's so smart, why take this subject? Even if Nayeon had great difficulties with it, it is still the most easiest Math subject in the university.
And why would I be angry if I'm classmates with her? Nayeon thought. It's a large university so being classmates with everyone on multiple subjects is possible. Just like her and Sana.
Nayeon grunted and stomped her foot in frustration and went inside.
-------------
Thankfully, they weren't sitting beside each other this time, and Jeongyeon didn't took her seat or Sana's - even if Sana's not around today. But, Jeongyeon is sitting in front of her. There was supposed to be a guy in front of her but the guy transferred at the back and offered his seat to Jeongyeon.
What the heck.
Halfway through the class, Nayeon began to doze off. The Professor was giving some examples on Calculus and it bores Nayeon since she can't understand any of it.
Her eyes were closing when Jeongyeon accidentally bumped her desk, when the girl stood up. Nayeon's eyes immediately shot open, and looked at Jeongyeon's back walking towards the board and solved some question.
The class oohh'd and aaahh'd as if they understood more from Jeongyeon's detailed solution rather than the Professor's skipping explanation.
Jeongyeon walked back to her seat like nothing happened.Nayeon just eye-rolled in annoyance.
----"Jeongyeon-ssi, are you free this weekend?"
"Jeongyeon-ssi, do you have a club yet?"
After the class ended, some of the students tried to converse with Jeongyeon asking her some question while Nayeon fixed her things. She still has one class to go to and the building was quiet far.
"Yah! It must be lucky if you're roommates with Jeongyeon! She can tutor you every night!"
"Totally! Plus she's roommates with Sana too! Ain't that cool!"
Nayeon got her bag and proceeded outside.
"No."
Jeongyeon plainly answered the students around her and grabbed her bag at her seat too before making way outside.
Nayeon didn't bothered anymore if Jeongyeon is still on her last subject of the day. She's too sleepy and tired to care about it anymore. She just want the day to be over.
Her last class for the day is Philosophy. She was classmates with Sana on this one but Sana was in community service still.
Ugh, another sleepy class.
Nayeon was mentally dragging herself to her classroom. She didn't even noticed anymore when Jeongyeon went to the next room (the room beside hers) for her next class too.
***"Okay ladies and gents. One question."
Their Professor started."Do you believe in soulmates?"
Surely, the question did captured the student's attention, even Nayeon's sleepy state.
"A common belief is that soulmates, are two people that fully understand each other. Their self, their thoughts, ideals and desires are in communion with each other." The Professor continued.
"A greek myth said, that a soulmate is that one person that completes you. Your 'other half', so to speak. Do you believe in that?"
Everybody in the class were trying to internalise these things. Trying to see if they indeed believe in 'soulmates'. Nayeon's thoughts, however, gravitated to Jin. Jin completed her once. Then suddenly, Nayeon was confronted with a wave of nostalgia and sadness.
Nayeon sighed and shook her head trying to rid of the thoughts and tried to listen on the discussion objectively. Unfortunately, Jin's image stayed in Nayeon's head until she stood up and went out of the classroom door after the class.
"Yah."
A familiar voice went out of nowhere and Nayeon looked to see Jeongyeon's image beside her classroom door. It almost looked as if Jeongyeon purposely waited for Nayeon after class.
"What are you doing?" Nayeon asked, shocked.
"Sana texted." Jeongyeon answered emotionlessly.
Nayeon hurriedly fished out her phone from her bag. When she got hold of it, her body was being pulled somewhere else causing her phone to fall.
"Dude sorry!" A running guy suddenly shouted across the hallway.
Nayeon was met with a chocolate and marshmallows scent and she found out that she is so close to Jeongyeon at the moment, and Jeongyeon was holding her wrist.
Nayeon stared at Jeongyeon's face for the second time while Jeongyeon was still looking at the guy who were about to bump Nayeon recklessly, had she not pull her roommate close first.
Jeongyeon eventually let go of her hold and went to pick up the other girl's phone and gave it to Nayeon.
"Sana said we need to go to the store. We need to buy supplies." Jeongyeon said calmly.
"Y-y-yeh." Nayeon stuttered, unable to tear her eyes away from Jeongyeon's face.
Jeongyeon proceeded to turn her back to the shorter girl and walked. Only then Nayeon realized she wasn't breathing all along, and her heartbeat sounded like the opening intro for the Beijing Olympics. Nayeon tapped her cheeks for a couple of times before following Jeongyeon's back.
Damn, Nabong. Get hold of yourself!
