'Loneliness adds beauty to life. It puts on a special burn on sunsets and makes the night air smell better' - Henry Rollins

Jimin
Snow crunched under my worn boots as I stumbled to my feet. The action caused a burning sensation in my right hip, so I slowly looked down and saw a wound covered with a piece of black silk. Weird. I don't remember getting hurt. I carefully observed the deep gash, which was slowly soaking the black silk with my blood. My eyebrows furrowed in fatigue. Confusion hit me again, when a faint smell of women's perfume hit my nose.
I removed the silk from around my waist, untying the carefully tangled ends then slipping the silk from my body. Hesitantly, I held the silk near my nose and immediately gagged. The strong smell of my blood travelled through my nostrils, making me shake my head in an attempt to remove the smell. I stopped. I could smell a hint of perfume from the silk piece and it smelt very familiar. My hands flew to my head which was pounding and pounding and.....pounding...pounding.....

I ducked as another scrap of metal flew past me, cutting into the flesh of my hip. I gasped as blood ebbed out of me. My grip on the seat belt was loosened as my energy was slowly drained.
"Jimin!"
My eyes flickered to the direction of the soothing voice.
"S-sam?" I croaked.
More blood left the wound, making me press onto my hip with my free hand. My eyes started to close but I fought to keep them open. I had to stay alive. For them.
"Oh Lord, you're... you're bleeding!"
She struggled towards me, grabbing onto table legs and seat belts to haul herself upwards and closer to me.
Once reaching me, Sam ripped a piece of her silky black skirt and secured it over my gash and around my hip, keeping it in place with a tight knot. The silk temporarily stopped my blood so I finally used my now bloody hand to grip another seat belt in front of me. After catching my breath I parted my lips to speak.
"You should g-get out... of h-here!"
She didn't stop. After checking that the knot was not too tight, she paused to take a deep breath. I closely watched her tighten her hold on a chair leg and reach underneath the chair I was desperately clawing onto with her left hand. As she extracted her hand, the plane suddenly lurched downwards as the plane's last wing was ripped of. I screamed in terrifying agony as my body convulsed. Sam's head snapped to attention after hearing my cries.
"Jimin!" She closed her eyes as if it was hurting her to see me.
"Here. Take this... "
I looked at my hand. My eyes widened.
"A p-parachute?"
I shook my head with tears in my eyes. Before I could disagree, Sam buckled the parachute around my upper body. She then gently held my head in her calloused hands and kissed my forehead. Closing her eyes again, she gently whispered, "You're my tear..." and pushed me off the plane.

Sam...
Sam!
I needed to find the plane. She has to be near it. I raised my head to check my surroundings. I squinted my eyes and saw a white object in the distance. Retying the silk around my hip, I prepared myself to run thinking that she could be alive and injured. She'll need my help. I broke out into a run, being careful to not trip or reopen the partially healed slash.
After a few minutes of torturous running, the devastating crash site came into my view. I trudged closer to the main body of the plain, careful to not step on any sharp pieces of metal. While checking the gaps between the barren trees for any danger, I opened the remains of what was the door.
I found the pilot still strapped into his seat. His body was penetrated by a shard of wood and his blood was splattered across the consoles. I looked at his body again and turned away to throw up outside the plane. His guts were spilling out the hole in his stomach. Revolting.
I pushed past the corpse and walked into the cabin room. The chairs and tables were ripped out of place and scattered around the room. Windows were missing, walls were gone and the place was filled with leaves and branches. I looked around and my laptop caught my eyes. It was in ruins but somehow it looks a little different. The colour... it was partly red instead of completely black. Blood. I stumbled backwards in horror. Sam. WHERE WAS SHE!
Hands shaking, I looked everywhere. Under broken chairs and inbetween huge branches. Behind metal bodies and through holes in the plane's floor.
Near the end of the plane I finally found her. Or what was left of her.
Her body had deep cuts with pieces of wood in them. One hand was in tatters and the other missing. Her blouse was soaked in blood while her beautiful, soft, brown hair was covering her face, making her look like an angel. I knelt down next to her and brushed her hair away from her face tenderly.
I was too numb to realise that she will never see daylight again, she'll never open her eyes again. She was a great friend and eventhough I only knew her for a day, I will never forget her. She saved a boy. She saved a brother of 6 boys. She saved a son. She saved me.
I brushed my hair away from my eyes with my bloodied hands. Slowly and gently, I picked her up with the intent of burying her. Anywhere but here. I nonchalantly hiked away from the ravaged plane and held her close. The snow by my feet gradually spread the cold to my legs which clawed its way up my body making me shiver. Teeth chattering, mouth turning blue, I pushed myself to keep moving.
I briefly found a clear expanse filled with life. Shock could be registered on my face as I saw flowers with white petals hanging downwards... like snowdrops. The beautiful buds covered the tranquil area, making it shimmer like crystals because of the drops of water on their petals.
I started to dig a rectangular hole in the ground after placing Sam nearby. I used a medium sized piece of metal that I picked up before leaving the plane. I started to pile the soil up behind me so that i didn't get any on Sam who was in front of me. I was promptly finished but before I settled her in the hole, I stretched as all the digging and smoothing had worked my muscles up. I climbed out of the hole and gathered Sam in my arms to finally bury her.
I was soon finished with burying her and soon after that reality hit me with a great force. I was alone with no civilization to keep me sane. I couldn't grip the sorrow in me. I collapsed as the absence of my 6 brothers, my 6 closest friends enclosed me with loneliness. My body shook as I cried and cried. Tears were gushing out of my eyes and my hands buried themselves in the flowers. I cried until there were no tears left but numbness and silence.
I pulled my broken self together and heaved myself off the forest bed. The snow in the palms of my hand melted and dripped down my fingers to the ground leaving a comforting chillness behind. I told my self, I will go back to them, I will go back. I looked at the grave before gathering up some snowdrops to place them on the grave to blend it in with the rest of the clearing. I looked at Sam's grave for the last time then slowly walked into the trees and into the arms of the night.
