23-7-09 was the message I received. I looked over at Palma and noticed hers just said we had 'practice'.
"I will never understand how they know who we are with and who to send the corresponding messages! It's so weird!" I exclaimed noticing how they always send only parts of the message each time. How do they know to send Palma the other half and not someone else?
"They probably have secret cameras everywhere," Palma said wiggling her fingers dramatically.
"I hope not," I laugh and we both head towards the girls' locker room. School hadn't started yet so the locker rooms where empty. I don't know what we'll do if we end up having a meeting during school hours...
I inserted the combo of the day and we both walked into the elevator. At this point the jostling ride was becoming kind of a normal thing and it didn't really bother me anymore. We headed into the meeting room but it looked like no one was here yet so I took the opportunity to head towards my room and return some of the gadgets we used yesterday.
As I walked towards my room I noticed the lights were on. That's weird since I could've sworn the lights were off before. I slowly walk into the room, unsure of what to expect. Instead of finding an assassin or some other life threatening suspect I find Eric taking advantage of my massage chair. It looks like he raided my mini fridge as well.
"Eric!! What are you doing in here??" I say as I begin to pick up bits of trash he left on the floor.
"We're partners, doesn't that mean I get full access to your little hotel room??" he asked getting up and reaching for another drink. I slapped his hand away.
"No, this is private you poop," I scowl at him.
"Oh that's right you probably don't want me reading your diary and seeing all the things you write about me," he said fluttering his eyelashes and mocking me.
"Yeah if you read all the mean things I say about you, your ego might pop," I respond overly sweetly.
"So you have a diary then?" he laughed.
"Wow you two really don't get along huh?" Palma finally spoke up. Before I could answer her I heard our named being from down the hall.
We all headed down to the meeting room ready to get down to business. The rest of the girls were already seated on the couch while Brooke and Amber stood in front of the screen once again. Palma and Eric sat down in the remaining spaces of the couch and I stood there like the awkward potato I am.
Eric took this as some sort of invitation to grab me and place me on his lap. I shot back up in the air and looked at him in shock.
"What was that for?!"
"Did you want to just stand?"
"You could've scooted over!"
"Nah I'm all good," he said with his signature smirk.
"Are you two done or are we still waiting for this little argument to finish?" Brooke asked clearly unamused with our petty fight. Seeing as there was nowhere else to sit, I reluctantly returned to sitting on Eric's lap but made sure his hands didn't stray anywhere.
"Great, now that that's over, fill us in on the progress of the mission," Amber cut in.
"So far no progress, nothing seems out of place or suspicious," I shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you saying that you didn't gain any new information from the first field mission?" Brooke raised her eyebrows disbelievingly.
"That isn't true, Eric and Charlee got into the second level of Linea Acardi," Lavender commented.
