Ch 11. Your promise

Taehyungs hand trembled against his milky white sheets. They felt warm under his fingers, after all he had been laying there a while now

He pulled the sheets from the bed and managed to wrap it around his frame, warming him up once again after he had gotten out of bed with his exhausted body

He held the white sheets tightly around his figure as he started to take slow steps towards the door, wanting to go out to grab a glass of water from the kitchen since everyone else is out on the camp

Taehyung reached for the glass filled with water after filling it up, the sound of the running water made him feel less alone. The quietness was a teriffiying sound to his ears

He turned around, glass in his trembling hand as he eyed the comfy couch on the living room. All he wanted to do was lay down, forget about everything for a while. He felt weak to himself, a hateful feeling that always lingered on his mind

He's legs led him to the couch, letting them control themselves. The blue haired sat down on the marron colored couch, feeling it sink under  the weight of his body

All he could do was stare at the glass of terrible water in his hand, mind going to places he didn't know where. He hated how the time continued to move on, how it didn't care about him at all. Passing by like a stranger, almost like telling him to move on

But how could he move on from something he can't.

His eyes got distracted by the blurry shadow coming closer to the living room, once it came into clear view he's eyes widened, the latter was as surprised as himself

"Kook?, why are you here?"

Taehyung spoke, feeling like his own voice was hidden for a while now. Finally being able to let out a sound

Jungkook had his hands like usual dug in the pockets of his grey sweatpants. He eyed Taehyung as he's frown was in full display for the latter to see

"That should be my line"

Jungkook answered, a sigh leaving his throat as he walked towards the couch opposite of the blue haired. He laid his full body on it as he put his arm over his eyes, blocking the lights for a peaceful nap

The silent filled the room, but for some kind of reason Taehyung felt like the silent that surrounded him before was finally gone. Just the precence of a someone next to him made the sound travel back in his ears

"Shouldn't you be out with the others?"

Jungkook spoke after a while his arms still lying peacefully over his eyes. Taehyung turned to look at his laying body, with a surprised expression written on his face  from the sudden blurt of words

"That should be my line"

He answered Jungkook, a soft chuckle  finishing his sentence. A small smile was shown on the raven haired latter which was soon replaced with his signature frown again

"Can I ask you something?"

Taehyung asked as he looked at the ceiling above his head, a small smile across his face

"whatever"

Jungkook answered back, which the latter took as a yes in his own mind

"How would you feel if you ever were in a meadow of flowers, surrounded of different colors and a beautiful blue sky you could stare at for hours?"

"what kind of weird question is that"

Jungkook muttered as he pulled his arm away from his eyes, being blinded by the lights. Taehyung only continued to stare at the bored ceiling as he had that familiar silly beam still spread on across his grasped lips.

Silence had filled the room again after that question. Jungkook just stares at him for a long moment, lips closed. Gears turning in his head. Observes how Taehyung's head laid back and his seared eyes stares at the ceiling.

Then finally, after what feels like an eternity, Jungkook shifts, the corners of his mouth pulling up and he decided to open his mouth again. It's a venomous moment—Taehyung and Jeongguk are like two satellites at the opposite ends of the planet that should never meet eye. And even so, Jungkook still finds himself staring at him.

"I guess, it would feel dreamy"

Dreamy.

"Would you ever take me there, Jungkook? "
