Chapter 7

Elaine's P.O.V

I heard a knock on the door!! Oh my god he's here!!

"OH MY GOD IT'S JOSH!! Elaine go get the door" Valerie shouted at me! I slowly walked to the door, and looked through the peep hole! OH MY GOSH IT "IS" HIM!! I opened the door to find a shy looking Josh holding the most beautiful boquet of flowers.

Nothing but a quiet wow slipped from his mouth.

"Hi!" I said with a huge grin on my face!

"Hi Elaine! Wow... You look stunning" he said while looking deeply into my eyes.

"Thanks!" I started blushing.

"Oh uh.. these are for you" he handed me the flowers.

"Oh wow! Daisies are my favorite!! Thank you so much! Let me go put them in a vase! I'll be right back" I said while running inside.

After putting them somewhere safe, I turned to see two girls staring at me!

"I gotta go girls! Wish me luck" I whispered

"Okay!! Have fun Elaine" Isabella whispered back. I walked over to see Josh looking down at his feet. He smiled the moment he saw me again.

"Okay lets go then shall we?" he held his hand out. I grabbed it, and instantly my palms started to sweat. I took a seat in the black BMW.

"Okay.. so this might sound a bit.. weird" he started to say

"Yeah?"

"Do you mind putting this on?" he asked while handing me a blindfold.

"Uh.. No problem" I slowly slipped it around my eyes. Oh god watch him turn out to be a serial killer or something..

"I don't want to spoil the surprise for you"

"Right"

"So.. Do you live with Isabella and Valerie?" he asked.

"Oh yeah. Isabella's parents own it, but we all took over it. We've lived together since we were fifteen. So that makes it.. three years now" I said smiling. Just the simple thought of living with my best friends was an amazing thing!

"Thats really sweet! You three get along so well! Reminds me of a couple of guys I know" He said while laughing. "Okay well.. We're here! Don't take your blindfold off yet".  I heard the engine shut off, a car door close, and another one open. I felt his warm hand grab mine as he helped me out of the car.

"Is it too cold for you Elaine?" he asked.

"Nope! It's just fine"

'Okay well.. here let me help you" he said while taking off the blindfold. I couldn't believe it.. It was absolutely gorgeous.

"Oh my goodness Josh.. It's.. it's beautiful". It was nothing more than a candlelit picnic in the park. The blanket, and basket was set up near a lake. I understood exactly why he wanted it to be a surprise.

"I'm sorry it's not a fancy restaurant" he said while grabbing his arm.

"Oh please! It's perfect". I wasn't lying. It was almost like a scene from a movie!

"Well then love! Have a seat" he said. I sat down, and admired the soft blanket that I sat on.

" So Elaine.. how was your day" he asked.

"It was great! and yours?"

"It was allright! I had to set up all day! But it was worth it" he admitted. I swear that smile, and sexy british accent had me melting!

"So Josh.. tell me about yourself"

"Well.. I'm twenty one, I'm obviously from England, and uh"  he paused for a moment. "And..I'm a drummer"

"Thats awesome!"I replied. 'So.. whats going on with that.. Have you played any gigs yet?" I wondered. He laughed a bit before answering me.

"Yeah.. we've done a couple shows.. It's nothing serious though" he started laughing again.

"Whats so funny?" I  pushed his arm lightly.

"Oh.. Oh it's nothing really" he said while quietly snickering. Oh god.. he's on drugs.

"So whats the name of the band" I asked curiously.

"You'll find out soon" he added with a smirk on his face.

"Okay"

"So what about you?" he asked

"Umm.. I'm eighteen, I'm from sunny California.. and.. I'm a filmmaker" I admitted while instantly regretting my last words. I hope he doesn't seem too interested.

"Thats interesting" shit.. "So what kind of films have you done?"

"Mostly short films.. But I'm huge into filming like.. homemade music videos"

"Thats really cool!! Well.. You'll have to show them to me some time"

"Yeah definietly"

After about two hours of chatting, and feeding ducks, we found ourselves lying on our backs while looking at the stars.

"So Josh.. where exactly do you live?" I asked

"Slow down doll face! This is only our first date" he grinned.

"Oh please.. You know what I mean" I said while pushing him.

"Well.. I live in England"

"Oh.."

"But I'm here on tour.. you know.. for the band" he explained.

"So wait.. The whole band thing.. well.. obviously you've played more than a couple of shows.." I said while looking into his eyes.

"Yeah like I said.. You'll see us play eventually". I wondered why he was keeping it such a secret.. Why was he hiding from me?

"Well Elaine" he said while leading me up to the doorsteps of the house.

"Thanks again Josh for taking me out tonight" I said while he looked in my eyes. He brushed a hair out of my face, and put his hand on my cheek. Before I knew it, his warm lips were gently pressed onto mine. The kiss was slow, soft, and filled with passion. Even though, it was nothing more than a peck. I felt them.. the fireworks everyone says they feel on their first kiss.. they were for sure there!! After he pulled away, I instantly started blushing.

"Goodnight Elaine" he said in the sweetest tone I've ever heard.

"Goodnight Josh" I replied while opening the door. Wow.. just.. just wow..  It almost took me a minute to register what just happened..

I saw Valerie and Isabella sitting on the couch waiting for my return. The moment they saw me enter, they quickly ran to my side.

"Okay girl.... we want EVERY detail" Isabella demanded. Oh god.. Where do I begin?
