Report:
So far Kay has been violently lashing out at my employees. She uses her eyes to levitate things and throw them across the room. With no successful attempts to destroy my durable walls she continues to outrage using mildly immature language. Her abilities are sharp but she is most definetly weak.
~
I went to the equipmrmt room and grabbed a couple of arrows along with my bow. I wouldn't have to carry it on me since when I need it Alex would just teleport it for me.
Alex, on the other hand, stashed a few knives then soon we were ready to go.
She wore her combat uniform which consisted of a pair of black leggings and a tight white v neck shirt. She covered it with a lether jacket and had black high top converse which made her seem like black widow(one of her favorite marvel superheroes).
I also wore my signature clothes which were camphlaughed pants, a tight black long sleeve shirt, and army boots. I'm aware that I look like I'm in the military but that outfit just works best for me.
We then headed out with a quick nod to eachother.
"You remember where the city hall is right?" She asked as we walked through the crowded streets.
"Of course."
The AHQ (Asar headquarters) was located on the south side of the city while the Hall was located right in the middle.
We walked for about 30 minutes. She could've teleported us but I wanted her to save her energy for when the real battle came.
Nevertheless, it wasn't long before the streets around the area that we were in began to look familiar. I had my high school just a few blocks away and the house I used to live in nearing us.
My house wasn't hard to pin point as it was the biggest one on the block. It had a semi circle lawn with a tiny tree in the center. It served as the outline for my driveway. The whole front side of the house was made of marble with a front porch that stood about 10ft high that made way for a giant chandilier. It was closed in with a black fence and that's all I could describe since God knows what that man could've done on the inside.
"Think the old guy is willing to see you again?" Alex blurted as she eyed the house.
"I mean obviously why else would he want me to go after Kay?" I sarcastically remarked.
She smacked my arm. "I'm serious."
Alex has been with me since I first started high school. If their was any person who knew when I was having a moment, it was her.
I stuttered a bit. "Of course not which is why I just need to get Kay then get the hell out."
She looked at me with a half smirked. I knew she wasn't buying my defensiveness but she definetly understood the conflict that I was feeling.
We then passed my house and made our way to the city hall which was in front of us, down the sidewalk on the other side of the road.
I looked at her.
"Let's do this!" She enthusiastically grabbed my hand then teleported the both of us inside.
~
The city hall had 3 floors. The basement which is where we were in and also the place that stored all the city's files, the second floor which had the official entrance and receptionist to greet you,and the top floor which had my father's office and everyone else's who worked there.
I let the feel of the place sink in before I realized this is not where I wanted to be."Why'd you bring us here?" I snapped.
"It's not my fault I don't know the outline of this place," she whined.
I remember sometimes playing here after school as a child. Though it has limited space, due to the numerous files, I was still able to make the most out of it by running back and forth.
When I got bored from time to time,I would talk to the receptionist up stairs just as an excuse to get candy from her. However, after awhile of getting use to her being around we began to develop a friendship which is why I was saddened when she retired.
As years went by and my dad had to replace her with many other receptionists, he finally stuck to a young one who just so happened to go to my school.
Her name was Tory Fine and she was a Junior. Everyone knew that I had the biggest crush on her and the fact that I saw her almost everyday made it worst.
Alex especially was the one that teased me about it which is why after awhile I slowly felt myself getting over her.
I could feel the nostalgia steadily coming back to me as Alex and I skimmed the room looking for the exit. Of all the things that I remembered about this place I never thought that I would forget the most important thing.
Where's the damn exit?
Alex and I were silent as we paced around the room, but it broke as soon as we heard a loud shout.
"LET ME IUT OF HERE YOU DICKS!"
"Kay!" We both spat outcat the same time.
"Her voice sounded like it came from underneath us," I told Alex putting an ear to the ground.
"What do you mean I heard it from above," she objected.
Is she deaf? It clearly came from underground.
"HELP!" Another cry.
"DAMIAN,ALEX!!!" Then another.
This time I heard it underneath us for sure.
"Damian how does she know we're here?"
That was a good point. She doesn't. From there I knew it was all just a trick.
"Cover your ears," I told her. "They know we're here."
She did as I followed as I completly ruined my plans to keep it on the down low and crushed all the shelves and cabinets into flat pieces of metal making screeching noises. Right behind one of the shelves lied a bright red exit sign that Alex and I spotted at the same time.
"We already wasted enough time in here. Let's go!"
~
We passed the exit which led us to a random open space with white and blue lights. Keep in mind this was still on the basement level. The area looked very aesthetic. But what was in there was disgusting.
It had cells on both sides of the hall. As I walked pass each cell I could see asars in there tied to the wall in shackles. The only thing that sepearted us were the glass walls.
Don't tell me that he put Kay in this hell hole.
The people their seemed like adults but the farther down we walked the younger they got.
"What is this place?" Alex whispered as we walked by.
"I don't know."
That was a lie. I knew exactly what this place was.
