"Thank you Mrs...". I say and take hold of the portfolio she was handing me.
" You're welcome Mr Romano and its Miss Veronica Milino but you can call me Vero for short". Looking at me squarely in the eye with a smile on her face.

I was about to open the portfolio when Veronica placed her painted long finger nail hand on my arm. My eyebrow was drawn in together as i look down at her hand then back up to her smiling face with a question look and my right eyebrow drawn up on my face.
"Your father said that you spent 3years working at the main branch in Italy". She says trying to make conversation.
"Yes". I said and was grateful for the distraction that kelcy and a middle age gentleman did when they brought in our lunch.
"Excuse me Miss Milino I'm going over to help out with the lunch". I got up and notice that her hand fell away from my arm.
"There are paid workers to do that Alexander". She says
" I like making myself useful ". I say with a fake smile painted on my face ignoring the statement she made.
Any excuse to get away from this woman. I've had my fair share of women in my life and I know when I can smell shit. She had that 'I want you look written all over her face'.
My phone rang while I was half way through my meal and thought it was Bella.
" Hey have you gone out for lunch yet? I'm at the office".
"Oh!? I was just calling to ask if we're still on for dinner tomorrow night and you don't have to worry yourself about my health babe. I had a salad" Katerina says laughing.
I lost my words for a split second then recovered quickly not giving any indication away that I wasn't referring to her.
"Well that's good to know".
" Anyway babe I'm kinda in the middle of something very important so I'll call later and we can have a light dinner. Bye" Katerina sends a kiss over the phone and hang up not giving me an opportunity to respond.
After our meals were done my dad said we would resume where we left off in 5minutes. I sat back and was thinking of where to take Katrina to dinner tonight, when I realized that I had also promise to meet up with Isabella on Skype later. Taking out my phone I dialed Bella's number.
"Hey mutant what's up". Bella says and I smile
"Hey dork. Listen are we still up for Skype later?"
"Are you OK? You sound tired". Concern in her voice and ignoring my question she says. Typical Bella putting people before her.
"A little. So are we?" I say chuckling.
"Yeah...yeah sure. Anyways I don't want to rush you off the phone but I have a next class." She say to me.
"Talk to you later then. Bird brain". I said and hang up.
