Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft & Wizardry is the only magic school in North America. Like Hogwarts, it has four houses, but contrary to popular belief they are not equivalent to the Hogwarts Houses. Each Ilvermorny house is said to represent a different part of the wizard.
Wampus - Wampus represents the body and favors warriors
Thunder Bird - Thunder Bird represents the soul and favors adventurers.
Pukwudgie - Represents the heart and favors healers
Horned Serpent - Represents the mind and favors scholars
I recommend that you go take the Pottermore house test, it's really fun and will make this book more enjoyable.
