Episode 36: M u r k y  W a t e r s

"Oh, you've definitely done it now." V turned back on his heels heading back up the long path towards the mansion.

"No! Wait!" I grabbed his shirt, trying to drag him back. "I have the right to do so! Besides, I grew up Christian! Religion is one of my legal rights!" Lord, I have never been more faithful than at this moment. Please hear me out.

"I don't care what you believe in. There's no way I'm setting a foot near that atrocious ground."

"You're so childish! Come on, it's just a place of worship! There are many cults devoted to Satan too! We can go there next if you'd like!"

"Childish?" He turned around and I stumbled out of balance. "You have no idea what happened between me and those wretched Angels. Don't dismiss this like it's nothing."

As childish as the angel and demon battle did sound to me, he did have a point. I wasn't being too considerate, especially after forcing him to do so many favors already.

"Fine. Drop me off somewhere near it at least." I sighed, trying to build a middle ground. "You know how much this is important to me."

His face seemed to seriously contemplate my offer before he suddenly grabbed my arm. "Hold on to me." I quickly grabbed onto his arm. He shut his eyes and for a second I was mesmerized by the way the wind picked up around us, allowing his blond hair strands to dances across his face. The next moment, the scenery changed.

"Huh." I blinked around, looking up at the starry night sky.

"Crap." V cussed, quickly wrapping me up in his arms as we descended from the top of a building at high velocity.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Stop screaming in my ear will you!"

"FORGET DRIVING! YOU CAN'T EVEN TELEPORT PROPERLY!"

"Shut your mouth! I can't focus!" He argued.

"Do something! Or else...I-I won't survive the fall with you!" I screamed, seeing the ground grow closer.

A few feet away, just when I thought it was all over and I'd up fall splat on the hard concrete, gravity suddenly stopped and we were both floating in mid-air. Slowly, he oriented us so that instead of lying on my back we standing on the air. "Wow." This will truly never cease to amaze me.

"You can let go of me now." He mumbled. I didn't notice how tightly I had myself pressed against him. Well, I mean I was holding on for dear life a few seconds ago. Even though I detached my face from his toned chest, I made sure to keep a tight grip on his arm. Slowly, we descended to the ground but I caught him glancing at me with surprise.

"What?" I lifted a brow.

"You must have incredibly strong core muscles to be holding on to my arm without feeling the weight of gravity." He noted.

"Huh? Hey, maybe I do." I smiled feeling accomplished. The air somehow wasn't really affecting me. Could it be I suddenly got a dream body with the spark of power I got?

"Idiot. You're clearly holding yourself up."

My eyes snapped up at him with shock but our feet hit the ground before I could test his claim. "Y-You mean I can fly too?!" I beamed. If only I knew this earlier, man! I wouldn't have minded the whole demon thing! "There are so many countries I wanted to visit for free!"

"Wait don't--"

"Woooh!" I ran and jumped as high as I could before I realized that there's no way I was going to fly like that and I'm going to fall and definitely scratch up my knees.
