Marianna stood outside, her deep grey eyes intent on the ocean as the salty ocean wind blew her chestnut brown hair. She was waiting for her father to return from the sea. Her father was a fishermen, one of the best in the world. Marianna didn't want to carry on the Feriacchi legacy of working with fish as she aspired to become a fashion designer when she grew up. Marianna reminisced about her childhood. Marianna's mother, Andrea Iomsoui died while giving birth to her so she never knew the warm feelings motherly love could give her. Her father tried his best to substitute but alas, his attempts were in vain. Marianna thought about how every Friday her father would go out to sea and around 5:00pm every Sunday her father would return, with her favourite food: potstickers. Her stomach began to grumble at the thought but she tried to think about other things, as she wanted to be outside when her father returned. After 10 minutes however, Marianna's stomach won the battle between itself and her heart so she went inside to get some key lime pie for herself. As she sat at the table, slowly eating and savouring every bite of the tangy deliciousness that is key lime pie, she felt herself begin to get sleepy. It was 5:30pm and Marianna began to get worried. She calmed herself by telling herself her father most likely just got held up or something, so she decided to go to bed with the hopes that he'd be back by the time she awoke.
