Making my way upstairs, I gathered my phone, a charger, some clothes, and other things I may need.
I left a note on Titan's bed stating:
"Hey... I know this may not sit right with you, but I think it's best that I leave and let you all enjoy the love that has re-entered our home. I don't feel like taking the time to explain everything, but just know that I've had to deal with some pretty messed up things while you were gone and now it's like mom and dad just want it to be forgotten. I'm sorry, but I can't. At Least not right now. Me leaving isn't your fault. I love you. Bye"
Taking one last look at the letter, I closed his door and headed out.
Hearing a notification on my phone I saw that one of my schoolmates had went live on his social media account.
Clicking the notification, a few associates from school were hanging out.
Seeing that I was watching. I heard Leo shout, "HEY ADELINE! COME THROUGH. I'M GOING TO TEXT YOU THE ADDRESS."
I texted back, "Okay. Cool."
I didn't want to go. Honestly, I felt like something was telling me not to go. But I was heading there anyways.
Walking up to the door. I heard music playing. I tried knocking a few times along with ringing the doorbell, but there wasn't anyone answering. I finally decided to just twist the knob.
"Figures." I say aloud. "He would just leave his parents house open for anyone to enter."
Walking into the house, the lights were off, music was loud, and people were laughing, talking, and singing.
Making my way towards the group, I felt a pair of hands grab my waist.
Snapping around, fully prepared to go off on the person that invaded my personal space, I see that it's Leo.
"What's up baby girl?" Leo said flirtatiously.
Taking his hands from my waist and putting some distance between us. "Listen Leo, don't walk up on me like that. You almost got hit."
Leo laughed, "Come on Addie, why are you always so uptight with me. You know I've been trying to get with you for a year now."
"You've been trying to get with EVERYONE since you transferred to our school. I'm no fool, nor am I souvenir for your playbook." I say back with a snarky tone.
"We'll see about that Ms. Adeline." Leo stated.
Who did he think he was. I mean sure he was cute, but he was no Adrian.
Shaking myself free of the erie chills I got from Leo, I walked over to the kitchen island to pour myself something to drink. I sniffed the different punches only to discover they were all spiked with alcohol.
"Ehh. I think not." I stated, while heading to get a can of soda.
Time seemed to pass my slowly. I didn't want to be at this party. I didn't want to be at home. I didn't even want to be me right now.
Looking to my left, I see Leo feeling up one of his many conquests while they were dancing. He so happened to catch me looking and the biggest grin spread on his face.
Oh no. Now he thinks I've been checking him out. I need to go.
Gathering the things I left home with, I began to head to the door.
Leo jogged over to me and asked where I was going and why I had all these things.
I let him know that I needed a few days away from home.
A puzzled look came on his face. "How about you stay in our guest bedroom? My parents are gone for the week so I have the whole place to myself."
"Ummmm..... I'm not sure". I stated while looking around at his home. It was nice, but I felt like I shouldn't.
"Come on Addie. Where are you going to go? The room is right here. Let me show you." Leo grabbed my hand and led me to the room.
It had its own bathroom and was downstairs, hopefully far away from his bedroom.
"Okay, I'll stay. Thanks Leo."
