The rest of the walk was silent.
We reached a white two story house with white double doors and gold door knobs. Adrian took out his keys and opened the door.
When inside, he instructed me to sit in the family room while he went to talk to his parents.
A few minutes later Mrs.Ramirez walked out with a warm smile.
"Hi Adeline. Is it okay if I sit down and talk?" She asked warmly.
I nodded my head yes.
Mrs. Ramirez sat across from me with a warm motherly look on her face. Taking a few seconds before speaking, she informed me that Adrian had let her know what happened and apologized that I had just experienced something so traumatic.
She continued with reassuring me that I was now safe and that she had an extra room I could sleep in, or I could sleep in the living room, whichever one I prefered.
She then asked me how I felt about her and Mr. Ramirez contacting my parents and then the police.
My eyes shot up from the floor and suddenly my voice was no longer in hiding.
"No police. I just want to forget about it. Can I call my parents in the morning? It's been a long day and I can't deal with anything else."
"Okay. I will respect your wishes, but know that in the morning we will have to contact your parents. Let me show you to the guest bedroom."
After a showering and getting into the bed I heard a knock on the door.
Fearing what was on the side, I didn't answer.
I then heard Mrs.Ramirez saying, "Adeline, it's just me sweetheart. Do you need anything? Are you hungry?"
"No thank you. I'm just going to go to sleep."
"Okay. My room is down the hall to the right. Feel free to knock on our door if you need anything." Mrs. Ramirez replied.
"Thanks. Goodnight." I stated.

Sitting in the bed, I began recalling everything that happened today... I seriously can't believe this day has been such a rollercoaster.
I disconnected with my best friends, finally started texting my crush, my brother came home, I ran away, got sexually assaulted, and now I'm spending the night at my crush's house.
Why did I have to go to that party? Something told me to not go, but I ignored that feeling and went anyways.
