Police. They came for me. But they don't see me yet. I need to start running to them and try screaming. I open my mouth to start screaming but immediately a big gruffy hand gets smacked onto my mouth causing no sound.

"Not so fast sunshine." I hear Kyle whisper into my ear. Much to my disliking, he starts dragging me behind the house. There I see a car.

Kyle opens the back door and pushes me in, slamming the door closed then he gets in the driver seat.

I scurry to the other side of the car and try to open the door, but it doesn't budge. Child lock. Well ain't you so smart?

I give up on trying to open the door and look out the front windshield. Kyle is heading to a path going through the woods. A getaway path.

I really thought he was going to go around the house to the road. That would have caused a car chase. What am I thinking? He is not that dumb.

Where are we even going? Does he have another house? Is it far from home? What if he takes me back to California? I can't go back there! I'll have no way of getting back home if I do manage to escape!

"Are you ready to go back to California?" Kyle asks, looking at me through the mirror.

So he is taking me back there. What am I going to do? I have an idea!

He will have to stop and get gas sometime, so I can escape as soon as he goes into the store.
θ
Hours have passed by now and he has yet to stop at a store. I look at his gas meter and see it is on empty.

"I am pulling into this store right here, lay down in the seat and if I see so much as a hair, I'll beat you so hard that you would think you are dead." You have already made me feel that way before. "Do I make myself clear?" He questions with a cold glare and parks.

I lay down in the seat then he gets out. Just a few seconds and I will try to get out. He can't child lock the passenger door, so I can go that way. This has to work. He should be in the store by now.

I lean up to see his back is to me in the store. I climb to the front of the car and when I open the door, there are police with their lights on pulling in. They jump out of there car and they spot me so one of them points at me then takes his gun out and another comes up to me.

"Syana right? Are you alright?" He questions. I nod my head ferociously.

"They are getting Kyle and I would like to head out with you. Is that alright?" I nod my head then we start walking to his car.

"Do you need to go to the hospital?" He asks. By now, tears of freedom is streaming down my face.

"I just want to go home." I sign. He nods his head then asks me where I live so I put it in his gps for him. I open up the car door then make the mistake of looking back at the store.

I see cops taking Kyle out of the store but he is looking straight at me with a smirk on his face but a cold glare in his eyes.

I get in the car then we pull out going the way back home. I am finally free. Kyle will never be able to get to me ever again. It's finally over.
θ
As soon as we pull up to my house I see Reece sitting on my porch with his head in his hands. No knowledge of a car pulling up until I shut the car door. He finally looks up and his eyes light up when he see's me. We start running to each other and collide together I wrap my arms around him and he does the same and picks me up spinning around.

I cling tightly to him. Afraid that he will disappear and all this will be just a dream.

"Syana." He says.

"Reece." I say with tears streaming down my face.

He pulls his head back so he can look at me. He then smashes his lips on mine, and I melt into the kiss. Sparks erupt in me and for a second I forget about everything around me. We pull away to catch our breath.

"I love you Syana. I know I acted like a jerk at first but once you was gone, I realised, I love you." He says.

"I love you Reece." I say. "I thought I would never see you again." His eyes light up because of what I say and he also looks shocked because I talked.

"You are talking Syana! This time more than just one word!" He exclaims.

"I am. I am now free." I say happily. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you so much too." He says.

My parents run out the house and my dad engulfs me in a hug but my mother just looks at me with disgust laced on her face.

"You went and got yourself kidnapped again." My mom says.

"I-" I start before getting cut off.

"Oh, now you can suddenly talk?" She says sarcastically. "It was just an act of you going mute, wasn't it? We payed a lot of money for sign language classes and this entire time you could talk? You are a disgrace."

"Mom, stop." Jai says.

"No. She just wants attention. She lead him back to her. This whole time she could talk." She says.

"Mom, he is now in prison so she feels free, and that gave her her voice back. She was so scared before he got caught, it scared her so much that she literally lost her voice. Kyle is obsessed with her, he found her and took her again. So, just stop. She has already been through enough and she doesn't need anyone adding onto it." Jai defends.

"I will not be living with an attention seeker. So she goes or I go." Mom says.

"Leave. She is not going anywhere." Dad and Jai says simultaneously.

My mom just stands there with her mouth wide open, not believing they are taking my side. "Fine. Y'all can't go a day without me anyway."

She walks up to me and slaps me then walks in the house, leaving me holding my cheek where she slapped me, trying to figure out what I have done to deserve this from my own mother. Jai, dad, and Reece engulf me in a hug.

"We have missed you so much." Jai says.

"I love y'all." I say.

This has been one crazy day, but I am so happy to be free.
