(Your POV)
"Flight 414, ready for landing, welcome to Los Angelas." the voice on the intercom says.
The landing of the plane shook the passengers, awaking some from sleeping from such a long flight. The door of the plane opened to the gate of the L.A. Airport.
It's always been my dream to move to L.A., after tons of training and education. I was finally assigned a job for the LAPD.
I walked out of the gate to grab my bag and luggage. I went out the door and called for a taxi.
I'm a little tired from my flight from (H/T) (if you live in California then......idk...) and had some trouble trying to book a flight at the right time.
A taxi pulled up to the outside of the airport and stopped. "Thank you so much!" I said, smiling at the driver. "Ay, no problem Miss! Where to?" he asked.
"This address, please." I said, pulling out a paper with my new house's address on it.
He looked at it and nodded. "Got it." he said and started driving.
As the taxi drove down the busy streets of L.A., I took out my phone and dialed a certain number.
I waited for it to ring and tapped my fingers against my legs.
I held my phone up to my phone as I heard the ringing on the other end, waiting for an answer.
"Decker." a voice said.
"Hey, Chloe! I made it!" I said.
"(Y/n)! Hey! I-I didn't know you were coming this early." she stammered a little. But I can tell that she's happy to see me too.
"I'm fine Chloe, the flight was a bit long but I managed to come down to 'The City of Angels' of all places!" I said, using airquotes at the name of LA. I giggled and smiled.
"How's Trixie?" I asked. "She's doing great! She's so excited to meet you!" she said.
Then I heard what sounded like another voice on the other end.
"Listen, I gotta go (Y/n), I'll see ya soon. Bye." she said.
"Oh, okay! Bye Chloe!" I said, taking my phone and tapping the 'end call' button. I signed and smiled.
Chloe and I have known each other for a while now. I met her online and we've been best friends ever since. I know about her divorce with Dan, and her daughter, Trixie.
