Lacey walked up to her aunt Martha's old Victorian house set her suit case down and looked up at it. "Here goes nothing" she said to the fish in the bowl under her arm.
Walking up the old cement steps. She glances at the front window and screams.
"What's wrong?! I heard screaming! Lacey Mae Aironson are you ok?!" Aunt Martha came running out of the house still in her baking apron looking worried.
Lacey glanced back at the window still expecting to see that old broken women looking at her. But there was nothing there not even a cat.
"Yes aunty I...just saw a spider. That's all. I'm sorry I startled you."
"No worries. I would have screamed two!!" Martha laughed her deep hearty laugh. "Come in. We've been expecting you."
"We've?" Lacey looked at her suspiciously.
"Yes us. I forgot to tell you didn't i?! I got a puppy his name is Welson. Like the volley ball. He is just the sweetest hyperest thing you'll ever meet." Martha smiled down at her niece.
" Oh that's news! Well he sounds supper sweet can't wait to meet him." Lacey said politely.
It didn't take long as soon as Lacey stepped into the kitchen the dong jumped up on her. It wasn't very big but it was pretty fat. Wilson almost knocked her down.
"Wilson get off Lacey down!!!"
Lacey set her fish on the table and looked around the old kitchen. It had a stove in the wall used with wood. The tile was worn in a few spots and the paint on the walls were dark with a few stains. But all in all it was spacious and Lacey could see her practicing her cooking skills so she could prepaid for culinary school next fall.
