Chapter 7

( John's POV )
It's been a couple weeks since I was stabbed and taken to the hospital. Smii7y was constantly by my side. He's always caring for me and I decided to do something for him in return.
I set it all up on my own while he was out. It took longer than I thought though. I smiled at my accomplishment and went back in the house. As soon as I heard his car pull up, I quickly went upstairs to get the bouquet of flowers.
I heard him come in with groceries. "John?" "Yeah?" I hid the flowers behind my back. "Can you help me put these up?" I responded with a yes and came back downstairs. "What's that?" I smiled and handed him the bouquet.
    He smiled and smelled them. "I thought, since your always helping me, I could return the favor." His smile got a little bigger. I gently grabbed his hand and led him to the backyard. His eyes filled with amazement.
     "Wow! You set all this up?!" He smiled big and hugged me. I hugged back and chuckled softly. He let go and sat down on the picnic blanket. I sat by him and got the food out. I handed him a sandwich and he ate it happily. "Thank you John." He smiled.
I smiled and ate. After a couple of hours of talking and playing around, we eventually put everything away and sat on the couch. "Thank you again John." I smiled. "No problem."
I glanced over at jaren to see him slowly get closer to me. "J-John?" I hummed and looked at him. He leaned forward and I felt his lips softly touch mine. I slowly kissed back and cupped his cheeks.
( Jaren's pov )
I leaned in and went for it. After a few seconds, I felt him kiss back and cup my cheeks. I felt my cheeks burn as I slowly pulled away. "E-even if your n-not my soulmate.. will you be mine??" He looked at me shocked for a second but the look softened. "Of coarse." He kissed me again and I kissed back.
He pulled me onto his lap so I was straddling his waist. He kept his arms around my waist and smiled. I smiled back and felt my face heat up. I rested my head on his chest and smiled to myself.
"I love you." I heard John mumble. His eyes were closed and his breathing calmed. "I love you too."
*time skip*
     I don't remember falling asleep. I looked up and saw John. His lips ajar as he breathed softly. I smiled and slowly got off of him. He groaned softly and hugged a pillow. I giggled softly and got up to take a shower. I got undressed and felt the warm water trickle down my back.
I sighed as I felt the tension and stress leave my body. I couldn't hear the door open, and I couldn't hear John slowly open the shower curtain. He stepped in behind me and put his head on my shoulder. His arms soon made their way to my waist. I smiled and closed my eyes. "Sleep well?"
"Not sure. What about you?" I shrugged and kept my eyes closed. I could feel a small smile form on my lips as he gently rubbed soap on my back. "You've done a lot lately.. I think you need a break." I turned and looked at him. "What do you mean?"
       "Your stressed all the time. You need a break." He moved from my back to my chest. I bit my lip softly. "What kind of break?" He went over my waist line then back to my back. "We can watch movies, eat as much food as we want, be fucking lazy all the time."
I laughed softly and smiled. "Ok."
( john's POV )
I smiled and rinsed him off. We both got done with what we needed to do then met up on the couch. I brought a shit ton of junk food, while jaren got movies. This is gonna be the best day ever.
