It had be a few days since the fight with BlackStar but everything was back to normal but you couldn't shake the feeling that Tsubaki was looking at you differently as class ended Tsubaki walked up to you and asked to talk after class which you agreed to.

"So Tsubaki what is it you need to speak to me about" you say with a smile on your face.

"I want to know if it's true that you fought the kishin" Tsubaki said as the smile on your face disappeared.

You look at Tsubaki and say "how do you know about that did someone tell you" but Tsubaki just says "no I was on my way to see you when I over heard miss Marie talking" as you sit down in your chair.

"You might as well take a seat because this is a long story" you said as Tsubaki sat down in the chair in front of you as you began to talk about your past.

-Rex's past-

You were running through the rubble that had been scattered from the kishin's attack with a young girl who was about a year younger than you, she had long brown hair and light green eyes, she wore a navy blue leather jacket with blue jeans and brown cowgirl boots as she ran next to you.

"So how are we going to get close to Asura partner" she asks quietly.

"We are going to attack him from behind but if we miss then we will need to not give him a chance to recover" you said as you looked at your partner.

"And if things get to bad then you need to turn back into your human form and run ok" you say as you feel her grab your hand and give you a warm smile.

"Rex that's enough I already told you when I became your partner that if you live then I will live, if you die I will die too we are one and that will never change this caring side of you is what made me fall for you in the first" she says as you close your eyes and smile.

"I guess there is no changing your mind is there" you ask.

"No" she said with a smile.

"Lets go Lucy" you say as she changes into a sword.

Once you had you weapon in your hand you jump towards Asura and slashed down only for him to dodge it but you soon land on your feet a swing your sword which cause Asura to jump back but he gives you a creepy smile.

"Oh that was a nice attack but you are out classed, I can tell what your problem is your partners weapon form is unbalanced so your slowed down you should really get a better partner" Asura said as you look at him with anger in your eyes.

"Sorry to tell you this Asura but unlike you I trust my partner and it would be disgraceful to ask for a new one so I swear on my name as a meister and on my weapon that I will never replace her because our bond is forged in fire, molded by battle and sharpened with life" you say as you see a smile on Lucy's face in the reflection of the blade.

You rush at Asura and throw Lucy right at him only for him to dodge but you disappear and reappear behind Asura and grab your weapon and slash his back which causes Asura to scream in pain but you don't stop you keep going on the attack as Asura keeps backing away from your attacks before using his scarf to grab you and Lucy.

"Lets see you are very skilled and I think you deserve a reward I have it" Asura says with a wicked smile.

"Oh and what do you have in mind Asura how about your surrender" you joke as Lucy changes back into her human form.

Asura just laughs and says "oh no I was thinking along the lines of you becoming like me a kishin" which cause Lucy to look at you in horror at what she had just heard.

"Not a chance I would rather die than be like you" you say with anger in your voice.

"Well that is a shame really it is so I guess I'll just have to force you to become like me using her" Asura says as the scarf around Lucy brings her in front of Asura.

"LET HER GO YOU BASTARD" you shout with anger showing on your face.

"I wonder what would happen if I removed her soul why don't we find out" Asura says as his right hand moves towards her stomach.

"DON'T YOU FUCKING TOUCH HER OR I'LL KILL YOU" you shout as you struggle to try and get free.

Asura soon pushes his hand against her stomach and soon starts glowing red as in slowly enters her stomach after stopping he slowly starts pulling her soul out of her body which causes Lucy to scream in pain.

"Stop it Asura leave her alone" you say as a tear begins to form in your eyes.

Asura just looks at you with his wicked smile causing you to get even more angry as he pulled the last bit Lucy's soul out as the scarf around her lets go she falls to the ground with a lifeless look.

Soon Asura walks up to you and pushes her soul against your chest as you feel the 2 souls merge into 1 only to be let go and fall to your knees as you hear Lord Death attack Asura but all you can do is look at your lifeless partner and cry.

-End of Rex's past-

"That is how lost my partner and why I promised to kill Asura for what he did" you say as tears start flowing down your face.

"Rex I am so sorry" Tsubaki says as she holds your hand.

"The worst part (sniff) I can't even die" you say through your tears as Tsubaki looks at you in shock.
