Yon assumed that the conversation with Ronan would be similar to the conversation that he had engaged in with the Supreme Intelligence. He hadn't wished to leave Vers by herself so he reached out to two of his teammates, Att-Lass and Minn-Erva, to keep an eye on her.
"Yon, I don't approve of what you're doing... You shouldn't have brought her here..." spoke Minn-Erva sternly.
"Hush Minn... I think its cute that Yon has a pet. I think I may grow to like her... Terrans are pretty- oo-" he said before he was cut off by Minn-Erva pushing him off of the couch in Yon's apartment. "Hey! What was that for?"
Minn-Erva glared. "You were staring too much."
"Jealous, much?"
She huffed. "Hardly."
Their childish bickering was annoying him greatly. "Quiet or you'll wake Vers up. I called upon both of you because I trust you. Do you think I am wrong too?" asked Yon.
Silence filled the apartment.
"So what shall I do?" he asked the two of them and the two remained silent. He took their silence as an agreement that he should trust them. "Then I must trust you. Ronan waits for me."
"Ronan..." spoke Minn-Erva. "You shouldn't go to Ronan alone... Who knows what he could do...?"
Att-Lass nodded. "I agree with Minn-Erva. Ronan is unpredictable and a..."
"Fanatic who likes blowing anything or anyone up who opposes him. I get it."
"He also doesn't like pink skins..."
"And yes, he's racist too." Yon-Rogg nodded. "Anything else?"
"Please take someone with you. I don't want a dead commander."
Att-Lass jumped in. "We"
"We both don't want a dead commander," corrected Minn-Erva.
"Don't worry, Korath is accompanying me." He paused as he slipped his boots on. "Now will you watch over Vers?"
"Of course," nodded Att-Lass who's loyalty was never in question.
Minn-Erva paused. "Who is she? Your mate?"
"Precious," he spoke, noting Minn-Erva's frown. He would need to work on her to agree with him. He approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder. He squeezed it gently. "Valuable to us. She has an immense power that will help us on our missions. Think of her as our newest recruit... A younger sister..... I shall return. Behave you two."
With that, he reluctantly left Vers with them and headed to Ronan the Accuser. Ronan lived on the other side of the capital where all of the nobles of the Kree lived. He was a blue-skin and blues were regarded as more important than pink skins. They were wealthier and nobler and handsomer in every way or so the papers would have you believe. Yon-Rogg did agree that the blue skins were the ones in charge. They demanded respect even if the population of Hala was 70% pink skins. Blue skins were in charge. He wondered how Ronan lived. He was an Accuser so he assumed that the man had given up certain pleasures in life but wondered if that transferred to his lands.
Yon-Rogg was surely wrong. The lands that Ronan owned were equivalent to a prince of a small principality. Wondrous lavish and fertile lands that were apt to grow great produce on. A beautiful masterpiece. Ronan's mansion was built very much like a Terran Roman Villa. At the center of the mansion was a garden that was incredibly peaceful where Yon had been asked to wait for Ronan. He waited three hours for Ronan. "Yon-Rogg, Korath, welcome," spoke Ronan when he finally appeared. He didn't apologize for his tardiness which irked both Yon and Korath.
"You called?"
"Yes, there was a matter of that Terran... I wanted to speak to you about her."
"Go on..." spoke Yon as they continued to pace the garden.
Ronan paused. "I think it is foolish that you bring her back to our home world."
"Ronan, she is no harm to us. Terrans are not as strong as Kree. Besides, her power could be used for greatness. As I told the Supreme Intelligence, I shall now tell you and only you..." he added the last part for affect, hoping that it would draw Ronan in. Fortunately, Yon had read his character correctly. Ronan was lapping this up. "Think of what she could be for us. Someone that can destroy all of our foes... A leader for all of Kree."
His companion chuckled. "She could never be a leader for all of Kree. She is a pink skin...." He paused. "Though if she married well then perhaps but regardless she is not Kree. She is human and would never have the chance of such an opportunity. You speak of her as a leader and a person. I see her as a weapon."
"Then she will be a valuable weapon."
Ronan nodded, liking that Yon wasn't referring to Vers as a Terran or Kree anymore. "Precisely. Now... we shall call her a Kree and I will consider her one because I trust your judgement now." He halted. "You have my blessing."
I didn't need your blessing, thought Yon. He was annoyed that Ronan had brought him all this way just to have this conversation with him. "May I return to Vers? She is still recovering and I'd hate for her to wake up and meet her cohorts. She only trust me right now."
"Of course, of course. You may leave." Ronan watched as Yon bowed his head and left his presence. "Yon-Rogg."
"If you somehow lose control of her, then for the good of Kree, you must anhiliate her. If not, I will personally see to both you and your pet's demise. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal," nodded Yon as he turned and left with Korath by his side, leaving a confused Ronan.
Ronan turned to his servant. "Crystal? What kind of answer is that?"
"I believe it is what Terran's call a joke..."
"Disgusting it is... He is already becoming more Terran."
