i looked at myself one last time in the mirror just to make sure i looked good in the dress.

"you look fine! come out" i heard my best friend call.

i smiled at her and turned around to open the door.

i walked out of the dressing room and she looked up from her phone.

but she just smiled. "you look gorgeous, emmy."

i smiled at her. "i don't know. is it too much?"

"for prom? no way" she said.

"pose. i'll take a picture" she said holding her phone up so i posed.

"i'm gonna change now" i told her.

"okay then we can go get some food" she said.

i nodded and made my way back down the hallway.

when i did, i noticed a guy down by the wall who definetly wasn't there before.

he was sitting on the bench, looking down at his phone.

then i saw the door open and a girl with black wavy hair walked out wearing the cutesy summer dress.

he looked up to see her.

i smiled to myself wishing one day i'd find someone to look at me the way he looks at her.

i'm going to prom with alex, my bestfriend because who needs a date when i've got the best, best friend in the world, right?

i put my hand on the door for the dressing room and walked back in to change back into my normal clothes.

i looked up from my phone as madison walked out the dressing room wearing a sky blue dress with flowers on it.

she looked pretty as always with the dress.

she smiled showing it off.

"so what do you think?" she asked me.

"i think it looks good" i said.

she let out a breath, that sounded slightly aggravated.

"you've said that about literally everything, jack" she said.

"well you look good in everything, babe" i shrugged.

i looked over as she went silent again.

and i saw a girl in a long sky blue dress

the dress was pretty, really pretty and it looked really good on her.. well from what i could see anyways since she was walking in a dressing room.

she had long hair but it was really straight, and she had a tan, or her skin was just naturally that dark

but either way her skin was beautiful, and it brought out her arms.

she was beautiful, the most beautiful girl i've ever seen in my life.

but then the door closed and she was gone.

i looked back to madison but she was already changing again.

"i'm going to make a call" i said to her and walked out the dressing area.

i love madison, she's my girlfriend and we've been together all of two years but she can get on my nerves sometimes and i just need a break from her right now.

i walked out the store, and saw a bench across the way so i crosses and took a seat there for just a few minutes until i'd go back to madison.
