Zayn was a quiet person. It wasn't that he was shy or mysterious, he just quiet. That being said he also loved loud people. Everyone knows the kind of people I am talking about. They seem to light a room by just walking into it, bright laughter contagious. Zayn didn't know very many people like that, which was fine since he was moving to America to attend a catholic boarding school for his freshman year of high school.

Zayn's mother insisted that he go to St. Xavier's Home for Boys across the world because wit was a better education. The fact that he wouldn't know anyone should be daunting, but it wasn't. He was excited for a fresh start and maybe a new muse for his art. Zayn loved to draw and paint and sketch, but recently he hadn't been feeling it. But a new place should fix that.

--------------------------------------------

When Zayn's plane arrived in America, Zayn was overwhelmed. The movies and shows weren't exaggerating on the sheer craziness that was America. He was in the middle of the country, Omaha, Nebraska to be exact. He was told that it was a more lowkey subdued city, but it looked pretty crazy to me.

"What's all those tall green things?" Zayn heard a familiar accent behind him. Doncaster most likely.

"Corn you idiot, this is the corn state." An Irish accent retorted.

"Oh shut it Niall. Don't act like like you've seen this much corn in one place."

"I don't think that's the corn we eat." Zayn blurted out. The two boys looked at him. One had bright blonde hair with dark brown roots up in a quiff and has bright blue eyes. He is wearing a white t-shirt and black skinny jeans so tight, the only, other pair he has seen tighter are on his friend. His friends hair is a mess quiff that's a nice shade of brown and he has eyes more piercing than his friends. He is wearing jeans so tight they might as well be painted on and a loose white tank top. They are both gorgeous.

"Excuse me?" The brunette said. "The corn, it's for like cattle and stuff. I have a cousin who lives here and she told me that last time I visited."

"Well, that's interesting. I'm Louis Tomlinson, and that's my best friend Niall Horan. Hurt him, and you will wish you were dead."

"Ok? I'm Zayn, Zayn Malik to be precise." He said. After a pause added, "You wouldn't by chance be going to Xavier's Home for Boys."

"What's it to you, Malik?" Louis snapped.

"Stop being so rude, Tommo. This boy seems nice, and we can always use friends." Niall says before Turing towards Zayn. "Uh yeah, we are headed there right now."

"Oh cool, me too. Just trying to catch a cab. Which looks like it's going to be impossible." Zayn sighs. He's never going to get there on time.

"Don't be silly, Tommo can take you, right Tommo?" "You know babe, if you weren't so cute I would say no to letting a quiet brooding stranger into my fathers limo, but I can't resist you. Come on Malik, my driver is waiting."
