"She's helping my mom with the table settings don't worry". Evangeline says as she waves her hand in dismissal.
We entered her room and closed the door. She went right up to her walking closet opening it and I just froze.
Every time I come in here its like Evangeline always has a new wardrobe.
"I don't know what to wear tonight. Mom says I have to look pretty but not outshine Alex's fiance". She says and I got tongue tied at the last statement.
'Alex never told me he had a fiance. I know that he was seeing this girl Katerina but I thought they had broken it off before he left for Italy. And that was three years ago'. Thinking
'First he broke his promise now he's engaged? My heart won't believe it'. My inner voice says.
Taking a deep breath I didn't want to show Evangeline that what she said hurt so I walked into the closet to help her. This closet is practically almost half of our apartment.
After seventeen dresses Evangeline settled for a re dress with a thin strap, black heels and pearl eating.

Evangeline's outfit
We sat on the bed exhausted when a knock sounded at the door.
"Come in". Evangeline says
It was Alex standing there. Not watching him in the face my eyes focus on the painting which was on the wall by the door.
"Knew I'd find you guys in here".
Alex walk up to the bed and look down at me smiling.
"Look brother, Bella help me pick an outfit for tonight". Evangeline says as she shows her brother the clothes
"She did,didn't she".
With a smirk on his face I look up at Alex. Rolling my eyes i got off the bed folding my arms. Alex look at me, shakes hi head and placing his hand in his jeans pocket.
"There you are Evvie. I've been looking for you all over. We need to heard to the salon sweetie". Mrs. Romano (Faith Romano) says walking into the room
"Bella and I were looking for something presentable to wear for tonight mom. See? Do you like it?" Evangeline says
"Its beautiful. Thanks Bella now come along Evvie or we'll be late". Mrs. Romano says as she turns and leave.
"Thanks Bella. You're going to be here tonight right". Evangeline says
"I can't tonight but some other time I promise. Megan's picking me up in an hour. We're heading to the hanger".
"Oh, well have fun". Evangeline says sadly and walks out the room leaving Alex and I standing there.
