This small family lunch was turning into a social event. My dad invited his close business associates which I knew it was mom's doing.
"You have a beautiful house". A voice says at my back
Turning around I saw Veronica wearing a black and pink dress hugging all her curves with a slit up to her lower hip, black heels,makeup, pearls in her ears and hair pulled up in a tight bun on top her head.

"A man has to have a woman with great taste at his side". Veronica says she looks me in the eye while sipping her wine.
I couldn't help but smile at her. I have learned to never mix business with pleasure but for Veronica I'll definitely make an exception on her part.
"I was waiting on your call Mr Romano". She says while batting her long eyelashes.
As I was about to answer my dad announced that dinner was ready. Before I could let Veronica leave I walked up to her quickly.
"It would be 'my pleasure' calling you Miss Milino". Bending to her ear as her perfume assaulted my senses I say.
Pulling back I watch her face as she turn a bright red. Giving her a wink I turned and walk away without escorting her in.
Anna and the staff made a delicious meal. My parents and the guest sang their praises throughout the meal. The only one that had a problem with the meal was Katerina who sat on my right while Veronica sat on my left.
The men left the women to their devices as my dad ask then to all join him for brandy. I stood out on the porch looking out into the night thinking about Isabella.
"Guess who I finally met and in the garden of all the romantic places". Brock says
" who?" Roberto ask curiously
"The beautiful Isabella". Brock boast sipping at his brandy
"She's to young Brock. Stay away". Gino says as he sits on the lounge chair next to Roberto and Brock.
"Its nothing like that bro...she looked hurt". Brock says looking from Gino to Roberto
"How do you know that". I say with concern as I turned looking at Brock questioningly.
"Because.. because she was crying man". Brock finally said. Looking at his face I both his eyebrows were drawn down in thought.
"So what did you say to the beauty my friend". Robert pressed on looking up at my face with a stupid smirk on his. I wanted to walk over and beat the crap out of him right now.
"We am...I handed her my handkerchief to wipe her tears and just talked". Brock said thoughtfully.
Dawning my drink in one go feeling the burn I was angry. That's my friend I am the only one to hand her anything to wipe her damn teary eyes.
"Well from today you will no longer be a stranger but her hero man". Roberto says as he slaps Brock on the back.
"Why don't you just shut the f***up Rob. Freak...I need another drink". Growling I say then walked away leaving them starring at my retreating back.
"What the heck just happened?" Says Brock
"Isabella and Alex are close friends". Gino says shrugging his shoulders
"Friends? Hell Gino those two practically love each other". Roberto says laughing as he continues sipping his drink then winks at Brock.
"Shut up Rob ,geez. Next time I'll allow Alex to beat the crap out of you". Gino says as he stands and walks away
