I woke up in a bed. I can't see. but it smells weird. I can feel a few things in my arms. Im in the hospital?
"k.. karkat.." I usually don't use full names, only when I'm really pissed off. or when I'm being as serious as I can get.
"cap.. tor" I tried to face him with a sad expression.
"I-I'm thorry.. It'th all my fault. if only I thtayed where I wath.. with the therapitht. thould have taken the thtupid pillth.."
He gasped quietly as his eyes fell on mine. "no.. we.. we're fine, it's not your fault" his voice came out more raspier then normal.
I feel like complete shit. but, that couldn't have been me back there. I wouldn't do that to him..
I blinked a bit and reached over the edge of my bed, trying to feel for Karkats face.
"can.. you thee anything KK?"
He sounded a bit confused as he spoke, "yes. I can see you, I can see everything.." Towards the end he sounded sad. I could tell he was frowning.
He put my hand on his cheek and attempted to smile for me. "..I'm.. blind..?" I whispered, rubbing my thumb in small circles on his cheek.
Karkat nodded and shut his eyes.
"i guess so.. but don't worry About it, ill protect you Sollux." he slowly started to sleep.
At least, I think sleep.
"Karkat.. I.. thank you.. for thtill putting up with my bullthit.. I'm tho.. dumb. I love you tho much.." I bit my lip, hoping he listened.
he nuzzles into my hand.
"You probably think I'm thuch a thit perthon. Thuch a dumbath.. gog.. I hurt you KK" I was continuing to whisper as I talked.
