The trip

Julie & Francisco were in their very own honeymoon phase after we reached Bogota, it was like we didn't even exist. Whereas me & Santiago on the other hand were in the first base of our relationship, we met each other families & did spend quality time together but we never got the opportunity to know each other properly or find out what the other person like & it was awkward, when I think about it because he was someone I met in the forests of Colombia a one night stand & now here he is after all these years, it was like a movie.

"So are we going to look at them whole day, while they swoon over each other or you wanna go out somewhere" Santiago looked at me.

"I like it here, but their romance is a little too hard to handle for me" I mentioned as he chuckled "then let's go" he called as we headed to the market together, he took me to another market this time usaquen flea market was it's name. There were clothes to accessories to bags but this time I decided not to buy aimlessly. We just took a stroll around & I bought some keychains for everyone back home & we halted at a cozy cafe for lunch. I was craving for pizza so we had that & he wanted to take me to a botanical garden so I agreed, there was nothing much to see there but it was quite & peaceful as we strolled around it was already their closing time so we had to leave.

We headed back home because I was really tired after walking for the past five hours but he wasn't because he was well trained & all these strolls, doesn't affect him a bit. Julie & Francisco were busy preparing dinner for us as we reached home, the cook took a night off & so they decided to cook for us. Thank god or else their romance was getting into my head, at least they were doing something reproductive now. I really didn't except them to cook that well but they did, they got real talents.

"I wanna take you somewhere, tomorrow" Santiago said as we sat on the porch.

"Where?" I asked.

"Somewhere, away from here" he replied.

"I'm guessing where" I mumbled.

"Just you & me, come on it will be fun or you want to feel like we are third wheeling these two" he mentioned as I saw Francisco & Julie making out again "ugh!" I rolled my eyes "fine".

"It will be worth it, I promise" he beamed.

"Let's hope we don't get into another cross fire" I joked as we started to giggle. We were sitting on the sofa as I drank the wine & he sipped the beer, I didn't realise how I even slept off but when I opened my weary eyes I saw that it was already 3am in the morning "you want to go to bed or sleep here?" Santiago looked down on me as I realised I was sleeping on his lap.

"Bed" I mumbled as I got up, I didn't want him to sleep in the most uncomfortable positions & we had to move by 6am in the morning & we needed a power sleep. I don't know how I had to energy to crawl into the bed & in an instant sleep off, it was already 5am in the morning & he was waking me up. I yawned uncontrollably as I got into the shower & got ready to leave, I didn't know where we were going but it was not close as I presumed it will be.

We had to drive all the way to the unknown destination & I was up for a road trip, I was more excited than Santiago thought I'd be. All the way we played our favourite tracks as we sang along, never thought he could sing that well & when he sang "the man that cant be moved" by The Script it touched my heart to the core because he is the man who can't be moved & it's true.

"Why are we stopping?" I asked confusingly.

"Because I want to just halt for a while & look at my beautiful girl because I love her" he smiled as we kissed "you are insane" I joked as I pinched his cheeks "insane enough to take a bullet for you" he chuckled as I started to giggle.

"And to wait for me, for all these years" I chuckled as I kissed his nose "now let's get to where we are heading, because I'm starved" I mumbled.

"Okay boss!" He nodded as he started the car.
