The three teenagers pulled up their car in front of Witches Wine. The same bar they had visited only a month ago.

Cheryl had told Betty and Jughead about the phone call, and they all quickly constructed a plan to save Veronica. They had all assumed that she was being held inside the bar, and Cheryl hoped that their assumptions were correct.

Because she had no idea where Veronica was if she wasn't there.

The three teenagers stepped out of the car, all of them wearing dark colored clothing in order to blend into their surroundings (and because Cheryl suggested that it would make them all look a lot sexier for this mission). They snuck to the back of the building, and before they walked in Betty grabbed Jughead's arm.

"Wait," she said, "in case we don't make it-"

She kissed him.

Cheryl cringed. Though she found their relationship sweet, she wished that they had picked a better time to have a tender moment.

The red-haired girl cleared her throat, and the young couple broke apart; both blushing violently.

"Not ruin your make-out session, but we can't waste any time" Cheryl spoke "also, Betty don't worry about it. We'll make it out alive."

"Hopefully" Jughead mumbled.

Cheryl gave him a dark look.

Betty stepped up and used her classic Nancy Drew trick, and in a few seconds, the door was opened. The plan that the three developed was that the two girls would go in, and then Jughead would stay outside to make sure that no one was coming in. If someone were there who wasn't supposed to be, he would contact the two girls imminently.

The two girls walked inside, both trying to walk as quietly and inconspicuously as possible. The back was empty, just as it was before. Cheryl wondered if anyone ever really came back here.

"Which room do you think they're in?" Betty whispered.

"Let's try this one" Cheryl suggested. It was the same room that she had seen Veronica and Malachai make out in.

Her stomach boiled at the thought.

They both busted the door open; no one was in there.

Cheryl frowned, confused as to why her assumtion hadn't been correct. The two girls decided to check the rest of the rooms in the back; no one was in there as well.

"Oh god, oh god" Cheryl said, beginning to panic "what if she's not even here? We've been wasting precious time!"

"Cheryl-"

"-I mean, are we ever going to find her?" she contiuned "what if we never do?"

"Cheryl please-"

"-Or what if we find her when she's dead?!" The red-haired girl exclaimed, "then we really had wasted all of ths time for-"

"CHERYL!" Betty screamed. The other girl flintched at the sound of her voice.

"Be quiet," Betty said, softly now.

Cheryl bit her lip, and the two girls stood in silence. Then, they could both hear the sound of muffled cries.

They both made eyecontact, and realized that the sound was coming from a closet that niether one had any idea was in the same room. The two girls managed to get the closet open, and once they both saw what was inside both of their jaws dropped.

It was Veronica, only her wrists were tied up and her mouth was covered with tape.

They helped her out of the closet, and Betty began to undo Veronica's tied up wrists and carefully ripped the tape from her mouth.

The two girls embraced, and Cheryl then realized that this was the first time they both had seen each other in two months or more. Veronica was crying, and Betty was stroking her hair, trying to calm her down.

The two friends broke apart, and Veronica flew into Cheryl's arms. The red-haired girl sighed, fighting tears of joy. The raven-haired girl's cries made Cheryl's heart ache.

"I-I'm s-sorry" Veronica whispered, "I'm so s-sorry."

"It's okay" Cheryl whispered in reply "it's okay."

She truly meant it.

Every ounce of anger she felt towards Veronica vanished, and she realized that she was probably scared. She felt so alone and decided to run to an unknown place, and of course, she would trust the first person who seemed to understand her. Of course, she would get angry at the girl she was in love with, thinking that she was lying and spewing unessary bullshit. Cheryl knew Veronica and her still had a lot to talk about, but now she felt the complete opposite of anger towards the young girl.

The two girls pulled apart, and Veronica wiped some of her tears away. "Do you think we can get out easily?" Betty asked.

Veronica nodded "I think so. I haven't seen Malachai or anyone else since yesterday...I think."

Betty and Cheryl both nodded, and the three girls all stood up off the ground. "Hey, thank you guys. For saving me. I-I really, really appreciate it."

"It's okay" Betty smiled "we're always here for you, V."

"Always" Cheryl added, and Veronica smiled.

Veronica held out her hand towards the red-haired girl, and Cheryl took it, feeling her heartbeat increasing just at the raven-haired girl's touch.

The three girls walked out of the room, but before they made it down the hall they heard a voice.

"Hey! Get back here!" A voice yelled, and they all turned around to see what was probably Malachai, holding a gun.

"Run!" Veronica exclaimed, and the three girls ran to the door.

Malachai fired shots at them, though they all somehow missed them. Cheryl opened the door and Jughead was standing outside, confused.

"Run to the car!" Cheryl yelled, and Jughead began following the running girls. Malachai was yelling at them to give Veronica back to him, and contiuned firing shots.

Only this time one of them didn't miss.

Betty was hit in the leg, and she yelled out in pain as she fell to the ground.

Jughead quickly rushed to her side and swooped her into his arms, carrying her as Cheryl and Veronica's hands held on to each other for their dear lives.

They all got in the car, and Jughead quickly started it as Malachai began pounding on the window. They quickly drove away, all of them began breathing heavily as they left the bar.

The four of them planned to take Betty to the hospital since the bullet was still in her leg. But none of them had any idea what to do from there.

Veronica laid her head on Cheryl's shoulder, and whispered something that the red-haired girl couldn't make out. She decided not to ask her to repeat herself, and instead drapped an arm around Veronica.
