Yui looked at me with her seemingly dull blue eyes and she wasn't impressed in the slightest bit to say the least. Jackson let go of me and he turned around to face the older woman and anyone could tell he felt intimidated by her presence. She looked right into his eyes and flicked his forward, picking him up, and setting him to the side so that she could get to me. Her hands were placed on my shoulders as she bent her knees a little to be on the same height as me; everyone was watching at this point.

"Aiko, I'm going to be serious with you and everyone here." She said clearly. "You and a few others are going to be... well... how do I put this? You're going to be like heroes needless to say."

She cleared her throat and looked around the room, gazing upon the clueless and dumb-founded eyes staring back at her.

"I see you don't understand. Let me be clearer with you idiots since you can't take a hint," she began, "Basically, you'll be taking a separate class instead of your normal and average physical education class (P.E.) meaning, in this class, your teacher will teach you guys how to fight and how to kill. Don't worry. If you don't want to, you are more than welcome to not to participate; it's not like we're accepting everyone anyway. But... be warned, starting now, your life is on the line every single day. When you get out there, you'll be put against pure killers who possess power and strength beyond human capacity. Choose wisely."

She gave me a slight smirk and whispered, "You don't have a choice but to participate. Mother is always watching, and she isn't too happy with what you've done."

"W-Wait, Yui! When will she be back?"

She lowered her head, already standing at the door. "Soon." And with that single word, I felt a shiver run down my spine as my sister exited the building. I didn't understand anything and I'm sure no one else did either. This was a mess and was doomed to fail from the very start. No one in their right mind would willingly want to die—well apparently not.

"Sign me up!"

"Me too!"

Voices were sprouting up from the roots implanted in the ground where they remained for long years of schooling. People actually wanted to do this stupidity of a project. The funny thing is... I don't know anyone of the people voicing their volunteers.

"Okay, Niña and Ren, your name's are down. I assume Aiko is doing it, yes?"

I reluctantly nod my head and I can hear the people around me whisper things to each other as if I asked for this.

"Okay, your name is down as well. Looks like no one else, okay, please resume what you all were previously doing."

I hate this.

"Hey, you with the pink hair!"

No go away.

"Are you ignoring us?"

Yes now go away.

"Hey Ren go talk to her."

No go away. Man, people are so naïve.

"Hi, my name's Ren. You're doing the program too right? That was your sister? She's super pretty—erm—not that you're not pretty... you're pretty, too, um.."

This kid is hopeless. Mind as well speak now that he has my attention.

"Aiko."

"Is that your name?" He questioned with pure confusion on his face. I uncrossed my arms that I had previously criss-crossed after Yui left, and put one on the desk in front of me.

"Yes." Was all I spoke. I didn't speak much so getting me to say even one word to you meant that I took an interest in what you had to say and I was willing got communicate with you. That's something to brag about.

"Dude, you got a hot chick to speak to you?! And Aiko at that?! Bro, don't you realize that a lot of guys would kill to get her to talk to them normally?" Someone whispered to him. I giggled lowly and stood up, presenting myself formally and with my back straight. I patted the wrinkled in my skirt and tunic away and fixed my tie.

"Aiko Akiyama is my name. Yes, Yui is my sister. And thank you." I replied to him, brushing the small out-of-place strands of pink hair behind my ear. He turned pinkish red and quickly turned his head.

"N-n-nice t-to meet you..." he stuttered.

I smiled and heard the bell ring, dismissing me to my next class. I picked up my books and bag and slung it over my shoulder, leaving out the door before Ren could say anything. On my way to my next class, I witnessed two guys going at it under the staircase. Jesus, they were practically eating and swallowing each other and I don't know how long I stared before getting creeped out. Their tongues just swiped over each other as the main one slid his leg up the guy's crotch, just completely ignoring the fact that, I don't know, THIS IS A SCHOOL. I cleared my throat and went on my way, still able to hear the squelching noises of their apparent 'love making' under a friggin staircase.

My next few classes would just bore me half to death as the teachers piled up the extra work that would make up for my grades lost during my time out. It seemed like endless drudgeries just piling up to the tip-top of Mount Everest.

Nothing ever happened. Nothing. Not a single event transpired until that stupid program class.

If I would've known that it would be like this.. I wouldn't have agreed. If I would have known what would happen to Ren...

I would have never met him.
