Prologue

Why are people so afraid of the dark? It's the exact same place you were just in only you can't see it. I don't get it.

Everything people think about when they get scared of the dark is in their head. Your not gonna get grabbed by the ankle by a mysterious hand or be knocked out by someone. Those kind of things only happen in movies. In movies, people always die because the lights went out of something and they were dumb enough to walk around. Like, seriously? Who does that.

I'm more scared of what you can't see in the dark. I'm not scared to turn off lights and see absolutely nothing. I'm not scared to even be by myself in a dark space or room. There is one thing, though, that honestly terrifies me. What if, what if you're not alone...?

Because if you think about it, is anyone ever really alone?
